Also, some faces can be pretty complicated when it comes to morality and crowd interaction. Stone Cold would stun anyone: face, heel, man, woman, non-wrestler, etc but he would also ask the crowd for approval/guide their energy (If you'd like to see Ol' Stone Cold stomp a mud hole in *insert wrestler*, give me a hell yeah!) Did Austin ever interact with the crowd directly as in rub a kid's head or throw a shirt to them or something? I don't recall it. I'm asking because the man stunned everyone who was seen as an on-screen character but maybe the audience themselves were omitted from that because they were the audience. You can be Mae Young and get hit but if you're Carla in the front row you're safe.

I usually think of it as, is the face toothless? If they are, they are not really good for anything short of being someone else's buddy who gets beat up to get sympathy, and even that can run out if they become seen as a burden.
Let me put it this way. If, in addition to Peter Parker's problems paying his bills or maintaining a love life and social obligations, Spider-Man just got beat up and never won any fights or solved any problems without someone else doing it for him, he would have been a foot note within a couple of years and had his books cancelled. No one would stick with that character for long as a lead, and even as a supporting character, it'd get tedious.
If your face is Pauley from Rocky, you're a f***ing terrible booker.

All of this boils down to the idea that you can't force someone into a role that doesn't work for them. Moxley as a face isn't like Ricky Steamboat as a face, but they both work(ed) because it feels genuine.

I'd say there's a clear problem One Edge is enough, I don't think we need to clone him so every babyface has one
