That movie somehow feels like the antithesis to "Frosty The Snowman" as far as Christmas specials based on holiday novelty songs go.

Power to erase one thing in history and this would be at the top of the list

Ah yes Scott McNeil was truly cheated out of an Emmy for his memorable turn as (Voice).
Sadly they never did a follow up special based on another one of Elmo and Patsy's novelty songs: The Doomsday Waltz. (Yeah that's a real thing...)

Gotta love a Christmas special where all of the characters suck.

This was from 2000 or so. The song was first recorded/released in 1979.
Still can't believe it took that long to adapt it into another format. (Yet somehow, I can believe someone thought to adapt it into another format, go figure.)

I really would like him to review the cartoon version of David Copperfield. The cat one. It only aired once as far as I know back in 1993 and it was made by.....Good Times.....

That someone is the voice of Grandpa who was the original singer and one half of the songwriters that made it... that from what I remember was trying to do something else with it forever... The fruitcake jokes in the special is also a reference to one of his other novelty songs.
