So something that a co-worker of mine was wondering about and I thought I'd present it to everyone here:
Since Star Wars is doing time shenanigans every now and then now (at least if going by the LEGO Holiday Special is any indication), he thought of a situation of Anakin JUST before the fight with Obi-Wan on Mustafar fighting against Darth Vader circa Empire Strikes Back, where he was arguably at his peak.
Taking out the quality or lack thereof of the films, how do you see a battle between the two going?

Vader was using half his power just to keep himself alive/bear the pain. Anakin beats him quickly.

Anakin one-shots. Speed kills, and Vader was slooooow compared to Anakin.

Anakin by a mile. It's made abundantly clear that being immolated and put in the suit made him a shell of what he once was.

I'd take Vader in Rogue One over Anakin. I think it's possible Vader could use Anakin's emotions against him.

Anakin one-shots. Speed kills, and Vader was slooooow compared to Anakin. Yet somehow he was able to survive against any other Jedi that would have that advantage. If you don't want to look at comics just see his battle with Ahsoka from "Rebels". Granted Anakin around Revenge of the Sith was probably stronger than Ahsoka in Rebels, but still.

Anakin by a mile. It's made abundantly clear that being immolated and put in the suit made him a shell of what he once was. The novelisation for ROTS is great in describing how Anakin feels as Vader compared to how he was pre-suit: Had Anakin not been immolated, chances are he'd have overthrown Palpatine long before Luke ever came of age and would've been virtually unstoppable.

In the PS2 game of RotS, if you play as Anakin and beat Obi Wan the ending has you walking up and killing Palpatine and becoming ruler of the galaxy.
