Good replies that totally make sense....but I just can’t buy him as this ruthless monster when he looks like a middle school point guard who’s playing for a division 1 college basketball program with 3 All Americans. There’s no way to believe that he’d be any threat to anyone in the roster. I guess I am just reserving judgment for the time being until they have him wrestling yet. Wearing the hoodie for the time being is probably a good idea, but hopefully he's going to be working on bulking up some, since yeah, dude's pretty skinny.

There’s no way to believe that he’d be any threat to anyone in the roster. Same time consider, he's not being booked as a threat, his two attacks have come in a sneak attack fashion. He comes off as a snot nosed kid who is getting his shit in when wrestlers are unaware. Ryzin was knocked out of the ring, Cassidy already went through a match and wasn't paying attention Hook's a Young Boy, Young Boy's aren't taken seriously, they're there to sometimes cause trouble, which Hook is doing for Taz, and likely, to get the shit beat out of him by higher card talent when the time comes for him sticking his nose constantly into matches. He might get some wins over lower card DARK talent, but he's definitely not being pegged as on the same level as like Cage or Hobbs, and probably won't be for a long time.

Yeah, Hook's very much a Young Boy. At most he's running interference for the group in a sneaky fashion while also taking lumps from faces for the good of Team Taz.
It'd be kinda funny if this new relationship with Impact means we see AEW Young Boys go there as a possible excursion destination.

Yeah, not like he's been seen as a threat in the slightest. His total offense has been sneak attacks. Though I'm curious how he'll end up in the ring, has some good dudes around him training him and showing him the ropes so to speak.

Prediction: Janela will be one of his first actual matches, since A. Taz rags on him constantly, anyway, and B. Janela's someone who likes selling his ass off, anyway, and has experience working with a lot of greener talents.

It'd be kinda funny if this new relationship with Impact means we see AEW Young Boys go there as a possible excursion destination. I'm curious if the NWA and Impact relationships have been accelerated by the pandemic's travel restrictions. If not for that, I imagine that a lot of these developmental talents would instead be showing up in AAA, DDT, and TJPW.

If I were Taz's son I would go by Dizzy or maybe Diz.

AEW takes some things from New Japan, the "Young Boy" of the faction is another. Hook is the Young Boy, he's there to run interference, gain experience, and then eventually contribute to the group in bigger and better ways I like this!

I'd like to see someone tell Taz he can't bring out his kid.

You can probably argue that Lee Johnson or Austin Gunn is the Young Boy of the Nightmare Family. Kingston's Family doesn't have any. You can probably say that "5" Alan Angels is the Young Boy of the Dark Order, especially once Silver and Reynolds' stars took off. Inner Circle doesn't really have one.
Think that covers all the current larger factions.

I'd like to see someone tell Taz he can't bring out his kid. He's super old now and not very tall. I don't think he could catch me if he got mad about it.

I loved that segment a lot but the only thing selling me on that altercation being possible was my suspension of disbelief, Cody could Scrappy Doo the poor bastard.

If they were fighting, sure, but I can buy that a guy already having him in a chokehold by surprise would have a pretty decent shot of keeping him in it.
