So the question I have is about two episodes, season 3 episode "Daddy's Little Girl" and season 9 "Pop Goes The Question".
I always assumed especially since "Pop Goes The Question" had all these flashbacks, that Carl's cop friend he is telling the events of Laura's engagement to Steve, was the same cop from the season 3 "Daddy's Little Girl", I know it is not, but wouldn't that be a great callback and since "Pop Goes The Question" was the conclusion love life arc. Wasted opportunity, doesn't have to be the same actor.

Maybe it's because I haven't seen the show a lot over the years, but I don't really understand what you're trying to say the problem is.

In Daddy's Little Girl, Laura has a crush on Carl's new partner, played by Tyriq from Fresh Prince.
In Pop Goes the Question, Carl is telling a different officer the story of how Laura and Steve got engaged.
The OP suggests it would be a neat callback for Carl to tell Tyriq how Laura is now getting engaged. It would have to be the same actor or there wouldn't be a point. Who would remember that character unless its played by Tyriq. Its not like the character was brought back or referenced again.
Now, if it was Lt. Murtaugh, then thats a different story.

The actor probably wasn't available even if someone had remembered to try to re-cast him for the later episode.

So, about that thread title.
This certainly makes an observation, but if there's a question I'm missing it.

Laura is a bitch. Off topic, but painfully true.

Laura is a bitch. Off topic, but painfully true. There were a few episodes here and there where she seemed to learn her lesson... but then promptly forgot it by the next episode.

Should have been that racist cop Carl tells off after Eddie gets pulled over for being black.

Since this is a Family Matters thread, why did they bring back Mark Linn-Baker in one of the later seasons to play Harriett's evil new boss when Family Matters was a spin off of Perfect Strangers? Couldn't they have just had an episode where Larry Appleton is in town? I need to know why dammit!
