Rainn Wilson is hosting tonight and every sketch has been fantastic. His opening monologue was about how much different this show is compared to The Office and then they did a spot on parody of all the characters of the Office with Lorne Michaels playing the role of Michael Scott to perfection.
Anyone else out there watching?

I wasn't impressed by the band. They shoulda just not gone to commercial when Pohler and Rudolph started their little makeout session.

Well, I hate to be the "Jay Mariotti" of the thread, but....meh.
Right before the opening monologue I thought to myself, "Man, seems like every opening monologue for the past 5 years has either involved the host singing some stupid song or having them go backstage for some reason." Sure enough, the guy hosting was backstage in a heartbeat. That got things off to a sour start for me.

Is this funny as in good SNL funny or the Junk in the Box funny only to drunk frat guys funny? I don't get drunk... ever, and I thought "**** in a box" was hilarious. Course, it wasn't just that they kept saying that phrase, it was the whole premise along with the video. But the episode was about 3/4 good, with the rest being take it or leave it.

That was the first full SNL episode I've watched in a long time. The Office parody was hilarious.
