I've dislocated my left knee three times, resulting in a surgery about 17 years ago. Which I think I need to get redone as I'm starting to get an old familiar feeling in it, especially since I've started working out again.
My left shoulder was really giving me issues the past few months, which has ironically has been better since I've started working out.
My left wrist I broke in three places when I was in middle school and like other people with their knees, I feel the rain in it.
I'm rapidly realizing I'm lucky I'm right handed, my left side is a mess.

I ripped a ligament above my knee in 2014 and then developed water on the knee. The swelling when it was not medicated was the same as having a torn muscle and somebody putting pressure on it constantly. It hasn't been well to this day.
Every now and then I injure my lower back (almost to the tailbone) and it spasms and is just life altering.

All I know of this is from what I’ve read of Mick Mars speaking about it. It’s basically hell. Says he feels bad in concert because he can’t acknowledge anyone because he can’t move to do it. Yeah, the degraded mobility feels crap. Like, even when it was just starting in my teens, I had flexibility and stamina. Like, I could raise my leg high enough so it reach my head, and I could walk a few kilometers since I bought some games so I didn't have the cash to commute. Now pretty much everything aches that I can't do that. Like, a few years ago, part of my physical therapy was one leg squats. Can do it on my right leg, but on my left it's so wrecked then if I try to just do it on my left leg it's impossible. Like aside from the discomfort I can't just put any strength to it. And I'm just about to hit thirty-two years old. It sucks now, but there's still years ahead of me. Just the simple act of turning in bed has me be awake to have my hands be my support to shift my position in bed. All I can do is sleep on my side, and both sides cause an ache one way or another.

I have arthritis in my wrist, and a bone spur. I slammed my shin into a car door when I was in my teens, it aches sometimes. Did something to my rotator cuff during the start of quarantine, can still feel it sometimes. When I'm super-stressed, I get tension headaches in the same spot every time. General aches in my neck and hips, especially when I sleep wrong.

I'm a former hockey player. I've had concussions, a broken nose, chronic C3/C4 neck issues, 3rd degree separation of my AC joint in my right shoulder, cracked ribs, broken knuckles, chronic lower back pain, torn hip, complete tears on pcl and meniscus, mcl partial tear, two high ankle sprains on my right ankle. Also nagging injuries here and there.
I wake up in pain every day, no exceptions. I haven't played in 12 years either so I've had the time to heal. I have no idea how former wrestlers (or any long term athlete really) can even function. I could see how pill addiction could become a problem. DDP Yoga helped a lot through the years.

I have always heard that hockey players were low key tough bastards. Now I believe it.
