If you want to see the game in action, you can even see Colt Cabana play as himself! As someone whose barely a gamer, it goes as hilariously well as you'd expect.

(Language Warning) I do want to say that Colt playing does get sad at one point in that, if it's the same as the stream he uploaded to his channel, he finds out live from chat that Jocephus died, and he is understandably very shaken, though he tries to stay on task.

I'm not sure if it counts as an indie wrestling game but I'm watching Matt McMuscles play a modded Mortal Kombat that has Kane in it and this win screen is incredible lmao

I did not realize RetroMania Wrestling was originally just gonna have Youtubers wrestling.

I did not realize RetroMania Wrestling was originally just gonna have Youtubers wrestling. As someone who has helped with getting boxers signed to Fight Night. Its a nightmare outside of wrestling companies. You have to deal with the wrestlers individually and some folks have really weird demands. So thats probably what intimidated them from initially going after wrestlers and also being signed to a WWE legends deal gets you excluded so thats a lot of legends as well.

Please tell me you have some stories about this. I loved Fight Night back in the day, and they had some SUPER deep cuts of guys on the roster who ended up making it big

I loved Fight Night back in the day, and they had some SUPER deep cuts of guys on the roster who ended up making it big Yeah the fight night devs told me a story about how they ran into a fighter in Vegas and they asked if he wanted to be in the game. He said yes and he wanted to have way more money than he should have (I heard around a million) and he wanted to be on the cover the boxer? Hassem Rahman. They had a boxer who they had to call multiple times and gave them the run around (I heard it mightve been Chris Arreola.) They had a fighter who had six different agents they had to talk to. (I think it mightve been James Toney, but I dont know.) Floyd Mayweather Jr. wanted 500,000 to be in the fight night games which was way more than Tyson and Ali got. I heard signing legends are a pain in the ass, especially dead ones due to their rights being owned by a licensing company and not their families. Its why they got in trouble with Knockout Kings 2001 and their rosters were smaller in comparison. Emmanuel Augustus had a convo with me about his pay for Fight Night. I have nothing to do with that I just hook them up with EA. Fight Night missed out on a lot of modern boxers because they were ignorant and didn't know them. Andre Ward wanted to be in and they said no because they didn't know who he was and they said hardcore fans wouldn't care either. The new ESBC game is gonna have a lot more deep cuts. They're true boxing fans that get what we want. They already have a lot of cult fighters and icons so look out for that soon. Im trying to get on the testing team.

I didn't even know about ESBC, it looks so great already. I was a massive fan of the first few Fight Nights, but even as a kid I knew that the roster was super thin. Them not knowing who Andre Ward was is just insanity, though. I can't even imagine having to try and rangle all of those egos though, but Rahman thinking that he was worth that much in 2002 isn't totally surprising. I'm more surprised that Floyd didn't want 8 figures.

I'm more surprised that Floyd didn't want 8 figures. The dirty secret is that EA refuses to shell out money for Fight Night because they don't sell well. So all that money that could be used to sign fighters are used for other games. EA was always looking to dump Fight Night for an MMA game, Peter Moore saw boxing as a dying trend. And the dev we used to talk to does the EA UFC games now, so Im glad he got promoted. He was always very nice to us over that jerk from Fight Night rounds 2 & 3. Also here's another fun tidbit, Amir Khan was supposed to be in Fight Night Champion, but something happened in terms of their deal and it fell through. Ditto Edwin Valero for Fight Night Round 4. I have a feeling that its due to his motorcycle accident leaving him unable to box in the States being the reason. One final tidbit, Mike Tyson was originally signed for Fight Night Round 3 but they wanted to do his style justice. (IMO they haven't yet.)

Is Wrestle Lab coming to PS4, or could it be Steam-only?
Going to be tricky to make CAWs if that's the case.
Oh, and the game has copy protection. I was hoping we'd be past that shit. What if someone loses their data mid-save due to a sudden power outage?
I back up all my other game saves to a USB drive for that reason.
