Sure he’s been stale for a good minute, but he’s done A LOT of good work in the decade between his last reign and this one.
Even with this likely to be the ultimate transitional reign, he deserves it.

I have no problem with the cash in just the timing. Its... weird timing because Miz has not been in a position to be treated like even a short term champ and there really isn't enough time to build an interesting story with him as champ or to drop the title.
Either this was an unnecessary step to get to a good match in Drew vs Lashley for the title, or WWE is gonna try to use Bad Bunny and Miz to get Damien Priest over as champ at Mania. So again either an unnecessary step.or way to quick of a hot shot

Another thing, anyone notice that the way Miz cashed in was exactly the same as before? Did the same moves, same sequences, hell even physically he looked like an older version of the old him down to his mannerisms and such. It's done that way on purpose which is pretty interesting to me. Even celebrated the same

They're doing it in a way that's saying "hey, you think it'll be like the last time but no there's something new here and it's Lashley."

I don’t think we will see Lashley going into Mania as champion. Just seems weird to have two heels going into Mania as champion. I think Miz promised him the match like everyone says, then Drew comes out of Adam and mentions Drew’s rematch clause. I could see a triple threat at the next ppv, but then again I don’t think they would give us Lashley and Dre in the same match till Mania...so I see Drew winning the title back and Lashley going into the match looking to win the title

A) Miz deserves it. Has character work that actually keeps my attention unlike most of the roster. B) Managed to keep himself relevant for most of the 10 years where he didn't sniff the world title scene. C) This is obviously a short term transitional reign to Bobby/Drew. Nothing wrong with it. He can afford to be in that spot.

I feel there was a “will Miz become Champion again?” Thread not too long ago..
WELP.
*shrugs* Good for the guy. Creates a lil intrigue heading into WrestleMania.

Bobby/Drew as a WM world title match with Lashley defending though I will say too I like having some kind of swerve on the way to WM, it feels like it's been a while since we've had a real good mid Road to WM swerve for the build to a title match, and it works here since there have been a few candidates that could face Drew at WM.

I've always had a soft spot for the Miz and don't think he deserves a fraction of the criticism he gets. But damn, the WWE has booked him to be a joke recently and now he's the champ.
I'm guessing he's dropping the title back to Drew at Fastlane. Kick off the Peacock deal with a title change.

Huh, didn't see this coming. Then again without the Fiend I haven't paid attention to Raw in a long time. Further I was only really watching his stuff so even then I probably wouldn't have seen this coming.
Where was I, oh, congrats to Miz. He deserves a solid run run that doesn't have him as the fifth man in a two man feud but I don't see it coming in this one.
