William Regal walked down the isle as Intercontinental Champion with the title upside down around his waist.

I always think of one question I’d ask certain wrestlers and this would be what I’d ask him.

RVD: Dude! (*puff puff*) You know what would be totally awesome? If you came out for our match tomorrow with the belt on (*puff puff*) upside down!
Regal: That's a bloody good idea mate. (*puff puff*)

I completely forgot Regal and RVD had a Wrestlemania match.
Or Christian and DDP Or Angle and Kane Or Edge and Booker
WM18 is the most thrown together PPV ever.

WM18 is the most thrown together PPV ever. Even Undertaker said he was left out of plans until the last minute and was given the choice of Flair or RVD as opponents. Can't remember when RVD/Regal was announced, but it would give an idea of Undertaker's timeframe if RVD was still an option for him at some point. Also note that, as often mentioned, WWE hit the reset button after Survivor Series and that basically means development for Wrestlemania began no earlier than the end of November. And considering the NWO was a big part of the show but showed up in February, the planning period becomes even slimmer.

Clearly he was defending the honour of the Australasian part of the Intercontinental Championship that night.

Taker and Flair's feud started in February so it was about a month in come Mania and would extend past that.

His curtain jerker with Jericho the prior year was better but Regal was a bright spot on this show with very little outside of two matches.

Taker and Flair's feud started in February so it was about a month in come Mania and would extend past that. That's last min He said he approached Vince and was like I have nothing going on for Mania and Vince said yeah I noticed. You can get either Flair or RVD and he chose Flair. Vince thought he was going to chose RVD and Taker said he still has time to work with him but he wants Flair since that is one of his idols Flair credits that match and Taker for helping him get his confidence back in the ring
