They took the f***ing scenic route to get there. But all’s well that ends well. Drew/Lashley has the potential to be a totally epic feud/match.

If you had told me 5 years ago the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania was gonna be Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre AND people were gonna be super pumped about it (myself included) I would have been so confused haha. Congrats to Lashley, extremely well deserved. I mean, I would been down for it considering their match in TNA

Good for him long time coming. I expect he will lose it back to Drew at Mania (been saying they want to give Drew the Mania moment in front of audience he did not get last year) but Bobby is destined for another longer reign though so I aint worried. I think it is the opposite Drew suffers his first legit L to Lashley at Mania while Roman losses to Edge I could see that, yeah. If Edge is going to win, I could see WWE thinking that's balanced enough and they can have a heel win the other. That said, even if Drew wins, I will still be happy for Lashley for getting it at all. Guessing he gets in at least one defense, at Fastlane, maybe.

Haven't been watching the product. What would you recommend me watch from the last year of lashleys career to see his best work The match with Drew at Backlash was great.

Because Vince McMahon is a f***ing idiot who needs to give up every last ounce of booking control and never touch a writing sheet ever again. Or Lashley ducked Drew because Drew was the last person to pin Bobby over a year ago, so he helped Miz beat Drew and got an easy path to his own glory I say *F*** Vince and his booking" as much as the next guy but in context, everything about this makes total sense especially now that we got the right result. It's the perfect storyline to take to Mania, even if I really wish they hadn't thrown Sheamus under the bus in the process. This! They actually pulled off a fun story and the right guy won. Sets up a killer Mania match. I know sometimes RAW is a slog but they pulled a good show out tonight overall.

That's cool. But here's my issue, they build this guy up as a monster for about a year, he doesn't take pins, he looks like a beast, he beats the tar out of the babyface world champion... and then they book him to win the title as a de-facto babyface against the weak weasel heel? Why not have him body Drew and take his title in the Chamber, have him kill Miz when he cashes in to really put over how strong he is, and go from there? What's the point of Miz, whose current gimmick is that he sucks, and everyone knows he sucks, getting the belt as a go between, when the most direct route would be the most effective? They booked themselves to the corner with the MITB and they won't have McIntyre to lose clean. Heel vs Heel is possible in front of no audience and we all knew Mix was going to lose anyway and he was just a go between. Maybe they wanted to give the big mania moment for McIntyre Also, MITB has really been weakened in the last few years when it should almost never fail, so I take it they wanted a successful cash in on the record.

Yea, even if Drew wins the title back you still have a man who is now a WWE champion and that can't be taken from him He's had a hot year and being rewarded by walking into Mania as champ

I’m cool with it but it’s more proof that the MITB briefcase booking is lazy and probably detrimental.

Drew is screwed after tonight.
They are clearly making Lashley the face and everyone is going to whine if Drew wins because he’s been too dominant this last year and it’s the same old crap again.
Honestly, Drew may be in a worse position now than Miz.

I imagine Edge vs. Reigns will get the "final match of Mania" spot, giving it a bigger chance of it ending with Edge having the feel-good victory to end the two-night Mania.

Yea, like I said earlier you got a perfect story Drew has been hot and beaten everyone except Drew and if you are Drew you call out Lashley on his BS saying he could got a title shot man to man but went through Miz cause he can't beat him Now Lashley has motivation to put that demon behind him while Drew also is a man that feels wrong out of the WWE title

I hope WWE has the good sense to bring this back around to Drew and Lashley's feud last year and how Drew didn't win clean that time and this is a whole different Lashley than he was then. You have a chance to really paint Drew as the underdog here and hopefully they go for it.

But why wouldn't you want Lashley to look as strong as possible? That's where I'm lost in this whole thing, he's booked super strong with a dominant title run, and they give him the feel good win over the chickenshit heel? Why? Because Miz is the lowest of the low At the end of the day, this is everyone rallying against the person who wouldn't be a "legit champion". Lashley only helped Miz because he knew he can beat the dog piss out of him and get a title shot immediately as opposed to "waiting his turn" In terms of a "prison system" Lashley is an asshole who probably murdered someone while Miz is that guy and everyone hates that guy But this is the same guy who caused the lowest of the low to win the belt to begin with, and we're assuming it's all building to McIntyre getting his revenge. So again, why are we giving this kayfabe scumbag the big babyface win? I don't need to know why Miz is worse than Lashley, that's obvious. I'd like to know why we think Miz getting the belt in the middle of this fairly straight forward story to play the bigger heel against the heel that's will be getting the big heel build was a good booking move.

Honestly, Drew may be in a worse position now than Miz. He was just the defacto face tonight because Miz is such a slimy heel. There's still the issue of Lashley heelishly attacking Drew Mac at Elimination Chamber that led to this circumstance.

I think Drew should take a little break from the title picture after WM, so if it's him vs. Lashley, I'd have Lashley win there (while Edge beats Roman) and have Drew move into a non-title feud with someone for a few months after. Maybe Adam Cole if he gets called up?

Still not sure why you need to transition Miz to Lashley instead of doing Drew vs Lashley
