I know it’s almost a forbidden rule to create a thread here and not to go nuts over everything and anything AEW does, but am I the only one who really wasn’t impressed by Jade? I found her to be slow and her entire time in the ring consisted of her doing a basic move, then looking at the camera and taunting. Do another move, then look at the camera and taunt. I lost track of how many times she did this, but for me it really took away from the match and any enjoyment I was getting from it. She may definitely have a future, and maybe she will improve if she gets more chances, but she looked like a gorgeous woman who’s athletic as hell , but as if all her moves were pre planned and she had them memorized but had no idea how to act between moves, so let just taunt every 5 seconds

I know it’s almost a forbidden rule to creat a thread here and to note go nuts over everything and anything AEW does, Aside from the overall point of the thread, can you please stop making this an opening statement before your takes in the AEW Board? It's gotten terribly old. Valid Criticisms and Discussions are aplenty here and always have been. On the topic at hand, Jade's green but she looked absolutely fine to me, she had good footwork, she has a nice swagger about her. Terrific Spinebuster and Glam Slam. She could have looked like a trainwreck out there, I've seen tall well built women try and wrestle and fall all over themselves (Looking at you Rhaka Khan), for what she did, she was fine, and she has plenty to build upon, a star look that stands out to any viewer, with plenty of room to grow.

I just look at the Shaq match as a house show match. Like every celebrity match it’s more about the spectacle than the work rate. I thought it was enjoyable Shaq did more than I thought he would but that isn’t saying much.
It was hard to get a real feeling on Jade with everything going on. She and Velvet played their roles well. She’s probably green as grass but if they take the Baker route and not over explosing her, she should be alright. Velvet I think is ready to being featured more in the women’s division outside of dark. Hearing she was ranked so high was ridiculous. I said to my friend ohh “the ranking system is based on how many jobbers they beat on dark..” I know that’s not true but Riho and Rosa not being rank over Tay is silly.

I mean she's been training for less than two years, I'd say for what she did and how good what she did do looked, she's got a bright future ahead of her. In no way is Jade a fully realized and finished wrestler, who has likely only worked a handful of matches before on student shows before.

Give AEW credit, they've found some diamonds in the rough to see them shine later.

About a year longer than Jade as far as starting trainig, but obviously quality of training at respective schools can be complicated and tough to chart things on. Either way, it's generation-defining talents who take up pro wrestling at a level where within only a very short time they "have it". Kurt Angle is a very rare breed, that's not a timetable anyone else lives on. For Jade to have the physical side of her wrestling look so solid already is a good sign, I'm not gonna get on her ass for not being fully fleshed out on psychology yet; she's done most of her wrestling learning in a very strange time where she can't quite get in front of crowds and learn on the job.

For her and Velvet working the bulk of the match, i think she did great all things considered.

I thought she looked great, and can see her being a major face of the division in the next 2 years.

For a debut, I thought she was fine. Honestly, I expected a little worse. To be real it could have been worst. If Brandi was in the match instead of Velvet. Brandi is a lot of things but polished wrestler isn't one of them, she very green herself and in not position to carry someone else in a match. So if she and Jade worked the bulk of the match, it would been worse for sure.

Eh, Brandi's more experienced than Velvet at this point, to my knowledge, but yeah, Velvet was better for this assignment, since she's smaller and quicker. The pregnancy kinda worked out to everyone's benefit.

They obviously have big plans with her. They built up Red Velvet just to have someone established to put her over. Some people might be disappointed, but they probably wouldn't have pushed Velvet like that if it wasn't for Brandi being out due to pregnancy.
I think Jade has potential to be a big star.

I was impressed with Jade for this to have her first match in front of people
She didn't do a lot move wise but I thought she showed some good heel charisma and seemed comfortable in there

She's clearly green as others have said (some of the timing on those kicks and other spots were off), which considering her experience is fine as others have said. But I will say that entrance, plus her presence alone she has some real star power. All things considered she did great.
I think if she can be built up to be a real big deal, but I would say they need to take the route they took with Britt after turning her heel. Slow down just a bit and not rocket her to the top. Britt benefitted from the heel turn and injury meaning she was away from her early push. Let's say you put Jade in a program for the title post Revolution? That would hurt her I feel. Let her and Velvet feud for another few months. I think that's best.

Jade is green, and Velvet needs polish, and the only way either is going to get better is with practice and by working matches.
She has presence, she looks like a real life superhero. If she can hone the other aspects if her game, she's going to be huge for them.

I was sort of fearing the worst from her and was happily surprised. She isn't great (and she shouldn't be yet, to be honest), but I thought she held her own and showed some potential.
