For some reason I always think "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" are two sides of the same coin. The former talking about the real world struggles, the latter talking about how they will enjoy their life together anyway.

I got piles of these. Most of them cause one song followed another on a mixtape I had.
For example
Johnny Cash-Man in Black was followed by Black Flag-Revenge
or
GG Allin Punch f*** Fight was followed by Tori Amos-Winter

Despite coming out eight years apart, I've always imagined "Do What I Gotta Do" by Ralph Tresvant and "Breakdown" by Mariah Carey as being about the same breakup from two different perspectives, particularly with the theme of them seemingly splitting up despite having no issues.
