Are any left?
I’m always curious about this kind of stuff when browsing Cagematch.net and it makes me think of such a thing.
The closest I could find is Super Crazy who apparently debuted in 1988. However you can’t really count him as though he was wrestling at the time he wasn’t really known. He probably just worked some small time Mexican indies. Heck Cagematch doesn’t even record any matches for him until 1994.

If you turned 20 in 1989, you're now 51 or 52. That doesn't leave much room.

I feel like the only answers out of this would be Joshi who start wrestling at a VERY young age usually but even I can't find any notable ones
Aja Kong just turned 50, her debut was 1986. That whole class just passed it, Manami Toyota and Mima Shimoda are 50, Kyoko Inoue is 51 as is Takako.
We have a lot more Joshi savvy users on this board who might be able to find one.

Not joshi, but another near miss is Malia Hosaka. She is 51 so just barely in her 50s. She debuted in 1987, but didn’t have her first nationally televised matches until 1991 for Herb Abrams UWF. I figure you’ll have to go to Mexico or Japan to find answers for this. Both regularly have wrestlers start very young. Although I don’t know if there are any you could claim was a star before 1990.

In that area Cagematch has Paige’s mother Saraya Knight listed as debuting in 1990 and she’s apparently 49 but that might well be when she started managing her husband’s tag team as they don’t have any matches listed until 2000.

She was definitely wrestling prior to 2000, it's just that records for wrestling in the UK during the nineties are nigh on impossible to come by.

Someone else still active on the UK scene pre-COVID I looked at was James Mason. While he didn’t debut until 1993 he’s still only 41 according to Cagematch. One of his trainers Danny Boy Collins is a similar story debuted in 1983 and still only 54.

Psicosis seems to just slip in too. He's a few weeks off turning 50 and made his debut in '89.
