This has the potential to be the biggest story of the year or a whole lot of nothing.

He also did an interview about his wm match and said he had a weird detached feeling he was trying to process and it may be time to stop being a full-time wrestler.
I can see him taking a break before deciding anything.

He also did an interview about his wm match and said he had a weird detached feeling he was trying to process and it may be time to stop being a full-time wrestler. I can see him taking a break before deciding anything. To be fair, that weird, detached feeling, could also be due to how badly WWE has booked Bryan. Like, they literally tried to, note for note, recreate his 2016 Mania moment, one of the greatest moments of his life, for really no reason but to try and sell tickets. Down to forcefully shoving him into the match, just to have him lose this time. They have had no clear direction with Bryan since his Heel Planet Savior run, which also felt like the last time he was truly having fun outside of trying to get guys like Gulak and Alpha Academy over (Booking said no of course). I wouldn't blame him if he took a break, but I also wouldn't be shocked if he starts working Indies or Signs with another major company to see if he's truly falling out of love with wrestling or if WWE's monotnous style and presentation wore him out.

This has the potential to be the biggest story of the year or a whole lot of nothing. This is how I feel. Its fun to dream about the possibilities but I feel nothing is more likely. But anything is possible. I mean many thought Big Show was a WWE lifer and look what happened. I felt like we been in this situation before with Bryan and he ended up with a new big contract with the WWE. I'm sure the WWE is not letting him go with Totally Bellas still being a thing. Thats the one thing I think changing it over Show and others at the moment.

When I was a hardcore ROH fan circa 2004 through 2010, I had a few top favorites in the promotion; like, at first when I was catching up on older shows Chris Daniels was my top guy. But it didn’t take long for Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson to be top of the list for me, especially given that as ROH champs they’re still two of the best booked world champions I’ve ever seen in any promotion.
Seeing Joe get hurt and get booked poorly in TNA after awhile was a heartbreaker, and knowing that I just can’t really get excited for WWE has made it tougher to follow them in recent years, but there being even a slight chance that the two could roll up somewhere else around the wrestling world this year and do things their own way has me wanting to get very, very excited.
That said, I agree: show me Bryan in a non-WWE ring and I’ll believe it when I see it. Still, if he’s ready to step back but doesn’t want to leave the business entirely, he could make a great living just wrestling something like 40-50 matches a year for various promotions who’ll all likely pay him a tidy sum to appear. He’s been vocal about wanting to wrestle for CMLL (though current ownership there could undoubtedly screw that up), and I’d kill to see him make a return to Japan, an appearance at a few big ROH cards, and yes, AEW would be sick, too, even for a short run.

I doubt it has to do with booking as he also said he’s really enjoyed working the empty arena shows, much more than others have. He’s also been part of the creative team for Smackdown so he’s been able to do the things in helping others that he enjoys doing. That being said, I’m sure he’d love to be a freelancer and wrestle all over for a bit but he’s a bit conflicted due to Brie and Total Bellas. Wouldn’t be surprised if he signed a deal with WWE that allowed him to work some limited outside indie shots.

I hope he takes a year or two away from WWE, does a few dream matches in a few other companies, then comes back for a little send-off and HOF when he’s ready.

Bryan must be getting the contract to end all contracts. He want it all lol. I want him to throw something stupid out like a $2 Million Contract and Head of Creative with no input from Vince.

Free agents: Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Chris Hero, CM Punk (Though he is hardly worth mentioning at this point)
I'll lose my damn mind if I hear The Final Countdown on AEW

As much as I'd like to see some D-Bry/AEW match ups, there is a ton of New Japan match ups that I'd love to see even if NJ sucks right now. Tana, Ishii, Suzuki, White, Shingo (again), and Takahashi just to name a few.

I'd love it in Bryan showed up on Nitro next Monday. That Bryan Danielson vs. Juventud Guerrara opener would be a banger!

I could see him doing a year long tour of other promotions. He’s said he’ll retire soon and wants to wrestle all the best wrestlers. I think he ends up back in WWE but I could see him doing a little time elsewhere.

Two things:
1. Give me Bryan in AEW and NJPW. 2. Sean Ross Sapp is the premiere reporter in wrestling news right now. I can't think of anybody who gets more legit scoops these days.

I hope he tells Vince to stick it and leave, this company doesn't deserve him and he has a lot to offer,AEW would be huge and I can really see him there in the future.

Wherever Bryan goes next, I'm gonna watch. I'm currently not keeping up with any wrestling besides AEW, but Bryan is one of the few guys who shines through as a star even through the shit-coloured filter of WWE, not even Moxley managed that, so wherever he goes I'm interested. He could go to ROH or Impact and put them back on the right track, or he could go to NWA or MLW and elevate them to good for the first time ever, he could help NJPW elevate their U.S. division to a viable level, I'm gonna watch regardless. Of course selfishly as an AEW fan I would love to see him wrestle there next, but as a wrestling fan I realise that the best thing for wrestling would for him to go to a promotion that needs him and work with wrestlers who need him.
