In terms of in-ring work as opposed to stardom/star power...did Chavo Guerrero, Jr. ever have a great match? He was rarely in position to, but I can't think of anything that goes beyond "that was nice." Some of his matches with Rey Mysterio Jr. I remember being pretty fond of his I Quit match with Rey, but I haven't seen it since.

I think Chavo Jr's best stuff was on the ECW brand in 2008.

I think the people suggesting Shamrock are onto something. off the top of my head - Superstar Billy Graham, Sid, JBL, Goldberg and Cowboy Bob Orton JBL had several bangers with Eddie Guerrero. I'd also argue Goldberg/Brock at Mania the second time is perfect, it doesn't matter that it's only five minutes. He's been part of some very good, even great, multi-man matches and tag matches, but as a singles wrestler Randy Orton has gotta be one of the most overrated wrestlers in history. He's had two great singles matches in 20 years - vs Foley at Backlash 2004 and vs Edge at Backlash 2020, and I'm only including that latter match because the general consensus is that it was great, since I still don't think it was anything special. I absolutely don't agree with this, Orton had multiple incredible matches with Christian. In terms of in-ring work as opposed to stardom/star power...did Chavo Guerrero, Jr. ever have a great match? I know his tag partner is literally Eddie damn Guerrero but that team needed two guys to work and Chavo held up his end of thoes matches. They also weren't great, but he also had some good ones on WWECW. In terms of in-ring work as opposed to stardom/star power...did Chavo Guerrero, Jr. ever have a great match? That was a good one. Chavo really shouldn't have been the heel in that feud.

I don't agree with Raven at all. Raven vs Benoit at Souled Out 1998 ruled. He's also had killer matches with Rhyno, DDP, and CM Punk. Rave vs Saturn at Fall Brawl 98 was a banger I love that match. Both guys were f***ed up during it too, IIRC, which makes it even more impressive.

I guess Shamrock as ref for Austin/Bret wouldn't count, even if he played his part well, but hmm, Shamrock/Mankind/Rock in the triple threat cage match was cool. I am not sure how it's held up, though, I'd need to watch it again.

Shamrock had great matches in PWFG--one with Jerry Flynn and one with Naoki Sano. Possibly others.

I think Chavo Jr's best stuff was on the ECW brand in 2008. He was involved in a lot of great tag matches with Eddie against Mysterio and Edge. Angle/Benoit, in the later 02. And in 03 a couple against the WGTT before Chavo got hurt.
