The fact that he just lays there and watches for a decent flame... just, why? You better believe if this idiot came running at me in the crowd with a flaming dick, he's getting kicked in the junk, and I'll stomp that shit out good for him. This is similar to my initial thoughts when I first saw it. There was no psychology. He just lay there and let him do it. If there was any extra money made on the night, I hope the promoter gave it to ol hot balls, but I doubt it happened. Right. OK, I'll buy him being held down and not being able to get away while the lighter fluid was being poured on him. But at least TRY to get away once the other guy stepped off you to get the lighter. He just poured lighter fluid on your crotch. What did you think he was going to get? A fresh set of boxers for you?

]The fact that he just lays there and watches for a decent flame... just, why? Can I just focus on this point for a moment? It's a problem I have with wrestling in general, not just these deathmatches. A wrestler having to wait in a place for his opponent to 'hit his move' is something that completely ruins the fun of a match for me. It breaks the illusion of 'this is happening'. New wrestlers are too busy learning how to do moves and not spending enough time learning how to make them look convincing OK rant over thank you. These are Darwin Award winners No, if they were winners they would have died and successfully removed their genetic material from the gene pool.

To be fair Bernie Ballsack there seems to be trying very hard to remove his genetic material from the human race.

1. who would've thought lighter fluid was so darn flammable 2. gotta love how kayfabe-wise he doesn't give two shits about his dick being on fire until he gets hit by the weed whacker “Inflammable means Flammable? What a country!”

Back in the day, Don Muraco would eat a sub while he set a man's testicles on fire. And that was just preshow in the locker room!

Wrestlers are stuntmen, but they're also *not* stuntmen.

The worst part is this looks like an extremely low rent Indy, like one that pays in a hotdog and a handshake. No amount of money or booking exposure could be worth the f***ing insanity that was this spot That being said... fully expect to see this guy booked on the next GCW Show if he isn't yknow... horrifically injured. The last time JJ Escobar was on a GCW show, he was the guy "El Shlako" ran over with a car and then set off a mortar in his groin at the Backyard show. I'll be amazed if this dude isn't sterile at this point.

Apparently, this was an IWA:MS show, because of course it was, and Ian has lost the venue because of it.

Did Mick Foley ever get burned? This seems like something he would have done 25 years ago.

Did Mick Foley ever get burned? This seems like something he would have done 25 years ago. Well, there was the flaming chair incident where the towel that was used for the stunt ended up in the crowd that got ECW in court. But again, no one sensible is really complaining about the use of fire, since I'm sure we all loved the WrestleMania 22 finish or the Edge/Foley vs. Dreamer/Funk tag that had some of the best uses of fire in wrestling. Just don't do it if you don't have a crew member with a fire extinguisher ready to go.

Did Mick Foley ever get burned? This seems like something he would have done 25 years ago. He definitely wouldn't have done this, in spite of his bad judgment. If nothing else, can't picture him destroying gear like this since he's so cheap. He has been burned, though. He had burns on his arm from exploding boards in some of his death matches. Not an extreme amount of damage or anything, but he did have skin flaking off on his plane ride home from Japan. I think most of his spots with fire, he showed a lot more caution than that, and even the exploding boards were safer than this shit.

Apparently, this was an IWA:MS show, because of course it was, and Ian has lost the venue because of it. Digging about, it looks like it was Pro Wrestling Trainwreck, which I know very little about so it may somehow be an Ian Rotten project, but IWA:MS ran the venue on the 16th where this was a two-night event the 14th and 15th. I don't know if there's any relation there but if not then if it's true that Ian lost the venue over it that's f***ing hilarious to me. Someone else books a nut fire spot and Ian Rotten gets told to f*** off the same way he's alleged to have made venues so scared of wrestling that other promotions get told no because of the shit he pulled.

Ahhh...I was getting my info second hand (and they were incredibly sure it was mid south), so it could be that Rotten isn't involved. Certainly lived up to the name of the promotion though.
