It's so good.
It's my happy place.
It's so nostalgic for me but also it's just beautiful music and it just makes me feel good even when I'm stressed.
The fact that all subsequent Sims games had absolute dogshit soundtracks will never fail to make me mad.

The shopping music is an incredible mix of sounding like something made in the 50s and yet invoking such a strong sense of the late 90s/early 00s for me.

IT'S SO GOOD I could just vibe to this song and like the literal whole soundtrack like all day. It's so incredibly nostalgic. And because of the 50's vibe and the fact that I grew up on like 50's stuff via Nick at Nite, it was nostalgic for me when it came out too. It's wild. It's so good.

Almost all of them are from a stock sound library... my brother who works in video editing stumbles upon them randomly when looking for songs >_>
My guess is EA either wanted all of the cash... OR the stock music owners wanted a lot more for the library since Sims was so popular.

I loveeeeeeeeeee The Sims 1 OST. It's great background music, too.
It was only for one summer, but that game absolutely captivated me.

Some of the other Sim games have a similar soundtrack to them. Really easy to listen to and relax.
