I need to preface this thread by saying that I did really enjoy Double or Nothing. It was the most I've enjoyed a wrestling show in a long time. Having the full crowd was amazing.
That said, I've noticed a trend in AEW matches the last few months and it was especially noticeable tonight- there's way too many run ins and interferences.
I get that AEW is very much stable and faction orientated, and with that brings plenty of opportunities for run ins, but they need to pick and choose a bit better with them.
Every main card match last night bar the Battle Royal and Stadium Stampede (and if you wanna get really technical you could say both Tully and Konnan interfered there) had some one, or multiple people cause interference and some had counter interference.
It's all just getting a bit much. It's leading to some needless overbooking and detracting from the quality of some great matches. I'd just like for them to cool it a bit- it's a crutch that they don't need.

They need to cool it on letting tag team partners stay on the ring together the entire time like the young bucks.

I don't know, like, at Revolution I got the criticism and agreed with it but for some reason, I didn't notice this until I saw this thread.

Its one of my biggest issues with AEW sometimes matches need to have clean endings and not go with interference. It annoys the hell out of me

I liked John Silver joking before the PPV he would be interfering in every match, only to tweet after the show he forgot to.

AEW having a fair amount of factions is still an aspect about the company I enjoy (so long as they keep pushing strong solo acts), but yeah, I don’t need to see every member gang up on the ring in every other segment. Less is more sometimes. If they cut back on some of the multi-person brawls a little, it will add to the impact when it’s time for chaos to break out to advance the story.

Yeah after a long time not having that much interference at all, lately it really seems like they have gone totally overboard with it

They clearly like New Japan stuff is all I have to really contribute to this. I don't mind interferences when hey have a point and most of AEW's have all had a point and sometimes don't inherently factor into the finish.

If you knew all the referees were partially blind, you’d interfere too.
(I agree, it was quite heavy last night)

I largely agree but I still prefer it over a world where we just get more DQ finishes. And I get why they do it. Both to protect guys but also to always build to a future match. AEW rarely does a match because they got time to fill and that's a big positive for me.

I often have a hard time getting invested in AEW matches because I am waiting for the inevitable run in. It is the reason I can not stand Omega's title reign.

How hard would it be to ban others from interfering as opposed to wasting time fending off those who do, which STILL distracts the face?

I think I'd have way more tolerance for Omega and the Bucks right now if every single person who fought them didn't turn into a complete goddamn idiot. Every main card match last night bar the Battle Royal and Stadium Stampede (and if you wanna get really technical you could say both Tully and Konnan interfered there) had some one, or multiple people cause interference and some had counter interference. Don't think Sting & Darby / Page & Sky did.

Especially in Bullet Club matches. I’m seeing shades of that same thing in Super Elite matches.

Don't think Sting & Darby / Page & Sky did. You're right, my bad. I watched the last episode of Dynamite before Double or Nothing and misremembered, cause Dark Order interfered in the Darby match on Dynamite but not DoN.
