Huh. A thread some time ago mentioned Cena and a controversy but I didn't look into it. So that's what it was.
Am reminded of one of stuff that interest me. Person just happens to mention Taiwan, and things just went nuts. Demands for apologies, suspensions, continued online harassment, a company just exiting their branch in China and fallout from that which still persists past a year.
In any case, I doubt if Cena ever returns, that the reaction from the WWE bubble would really affect him.

Bret Hart style reactions. The “We Hate Cena” shirt wearers have tears of joy because they realized they actually missed him, even if they were rooting for his opponent.

Basically the same as every other returning star - loud pop to begin with, which will then fade pretty quick.

Eh, in terms of politics, WWE left a bunch of their own talent in a hostile country and it didn't seem to bother people that much.
