So blatantly transparent. Crowd came most to life with the other four and then just lulled at anything/everything Kross. It’s said love or hate, the worst thing is the crowd not caring. Welp. There it is.

Again I'm not as hard on Kross as most of FAN, but I think tonight should be a wake up call. He'd be fine as an upper midcarder, but him as champ's just not working out. Him killing the crowd dead every time he was on offense in there was super awkward.

Honestly, though? It didn't matter to me who was walking out as champ, I have very little interest in NXT's main event scene right now.

I mean...why should we dislike Kross? What about him is heelish? He wins is matches legit so should I be mad at that? Should I be mad that he has an attractive wife? Should I be mad that he's got the world title rightfully so? Should I be mad that he doesn't back down to challenges?

Clearly the reason they were silent is the Karrion Kross fans were just sitting enjoying the show without worrying about who would win, so they're the True Fans™.

I'll repost what I posted in the In Your House Thread.

That main event though was damming for Kross. No matter the reason, no matter if you like Kross or not, there is no denying that right now he is NOT over. Any moment he was not involved in the match the crowd actually got hot for the match and was really into it. Then as soon as Kross came back? It was like hitting a mute button.

Kross is in serious need of rehabbing.


And I'll also say this too, I think Kross is a good talent... but I don't see top guy. Dude proved in Impact and AAA he is very good to great in the under boss role. I also think NXT really screwed him by rushing him to the title to get a red hot Keith Lee to the main roster... when he got injured they gave him a quick feud with Escobar but again they just rushed him to the title too quick and he just hasn't caught on.

And as a side bar to the Kross push NXT has killed pretty much all momentum KOR and Pete Dunne had and that's just as damaging to NXT

I think Adam Cole is an actively terrible wrestler in just about every facet and that his reign as champ was a dark period for NXT.

Karrion Kross has me nostalgic for Adam Cole's title reign.

In terms of NXT I think the issue isn't so much like or dislike, it's apathy. For whatever the reason the audience is just not taking to Kross. I think its the rushing to the title.

Is he a lost cause? Absolutely not
