Yeah, that didn’t seem worth the gamble on first glance but the numbers could change over the weekend.

Considering they were expected to have their audience gutted completely by the Basketball, to grow it instead is a good result and will likely keep Fox happy

Well, that's one rule broken: the one about never giving away for free that from which you can make money.
Then again, WWE likely saved itself millions by doing that, by doing something to preserve its deal with Fox. However, this may prove the first incline in a very slippery slope of Fox (and, in turn, NBC/USA Network) demanding more input on the creative side in order to keep the ratings at least on an upward trend. Let's see how far that goes before WWE can or will push back.

The overnight last week was 1.853 so this is around 75,000 better.

Final numbers are in and they’re a 6-week high with a 0.54 demo and 2.04 million viewers.
