Given the releases and the general lack of interest, is this the end for the Purple brand?
Could the hour be given to SD as the Main Event equivalent, or could it go to NXT for more exposure?
Or will 205 limp along minus any draws or point?

Depends on if WWE has promised a certain amount of live content to Peacock in their deal. If they have a commitment to make X amount of live streaming content for the platform per month, 205 Live is either going to shamble forward, or need to be replaced with somehting fast.

Ideally... they COULD use the timeslot for SmackDown's own B-show and give the people on that roster who have nothing to do something once a week, thus filling international quota.
It's not the best idea, since we know how WWE doesn't regard Main Event as anything, but at least you would be wrestling and not spending weeks sitting in the back.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 205 Live slot ends up being retooled as a B-show for NXT. That's already what it is now, but making it official so women and heavyweights can also be featured on the show regularly.

If general interest was a reason to kill 205 live it would have been dead years ago

I can't see it continue, really. Maybe it'll be replaced by another magazine-style show featuring matches from all three brands, packaged for international audiences or as filler for Saturday mornings.

By all logic it should be, but there's just as much chance of it being a shambling corpse for another week. And another. And so on.

Would like if they canned it and the women had an hour show along with being on Raw and Smackdown.

Just watching the theme from this week. Seriously I’d be amused if someone to edited it with a blank screen that says RELEASED every time a released talent pops in the opening music.
I think a lot of it comes down to, their going back to touring and Kahn said “you have a show after smackdown and 3/4 of the fans leave during this taping?” Seems like a waste.
Also AEW having a new Friday at 10pm Show they probably just said screw it.

All you need is 5-6 NXT wrestlers to do two matches there every week and they have that still. Just a matter of if they want to keep it around.

205 die to me when Murphy, Ali and Cedric were called up in my opinion. After that it was fine for a bit than just became a content producer instead of an actual show.

Yes they lost originals Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, & The Bollywood Boyz, as well as August Grey. But they have a lot of guys, including some that has yet to wrestle on 205 Live like Carmelo Hayes & Trey Baxter. They can bring Drake Maverick back to the show since he's not doing anything now that Killian Dain is gone. So, stop with the idea of them pulling the plug on the show. People have been wanting it to end for years. It is the best half hour of wrestling every week. And just because WWE doesn't care about it and some of you don't either, there are fans that support the show and the amazing wrestlers on it. It can't end.

The best half hour of wrestling every week isn't even reaching the top ten on the WWE Network. Yes, there are some really great talents there; _but_ there needs to be more than that to justify continuing it in the face of an executive who seems to be calling all the shots right now without any regard for the talent. The Cruiserweights - all of them that are left - might be better served challenging Kushida on NXT then stuck in a vacuum on a largely-unwatched show.

I mean, if we're being honest, 205 Live as a concept was on life support after Enzo left and the strategy plain didn't work so the fact it's carried on this far is a testament, I guess.
But yeah, if NXT is going to be emphasising cruiserweight more, and they already are with Diamond Mine going after KUSHIDA, then you don't really need another hour of TV to do that when you have occasional spots on a cable TV show.
