Honestly they should just scrap the whole NXT stuff altogether and move on.

I mean, NXT was a lot more fun when it was developmental. However I don't know if that's the reason why that was so.

One more perceived major mistake by Hunter and Vince will dole out the harshest punishment he can inflict on HHH's brand:
The return of NXT Redemption.

So when do Gargano, Cole, Ciampa and the other mainstays get called up? Cant keep them in "developement" forever if that's the case.

I feel bad for Trips. He got punished for doing something good. Though I guess that makes him just another person at WWE.

At least call up Io then, I know Vince struggles with Japanese talent but she'd take a lot of pressure off Belair, Ripley and co who are all hands on deck keeping viewers interested in an inexperienced (and in some cases disinterested) roster.

This poses a lot of interesting contractual questions not only for the wrestlers Triple H wanted to hold onto, but for people like Samoa Joe. Is his re-signed contract going to be worth much once the budget cutter starts slamming the brand to streamline its spending? If NXT is getting a demotion, these 'budget cuts' are sure to start hitting it too.

Were the ratings even that skewed towards AEW? I never keep up with that stuff but I figured they would be pretty close

At least it's not back to being a game show? Not yet... PATTERSON! GET IN HERE! I've got a great idea. I think we should turn Paul's loser wrestling company into a game show where fans at home can call in, and get this, this is the brilliant part, they have a chance to win 1 million dollars if they do. It's perfect. Who wouldn't watch with that sort of premise? So what'da'ya think... Patterson? ...Pat? ...Pal, where'd you go? ...Oh... I'm so alone.

So that's why Vince, Johnny, Nick and Bruce flew down there.
Boost morale than kill it when the head back to Stamford.

That is my biggest interest if they intend to scale it all the way back down to developmental..like does this mean the contracts scale down to developmental pay scale as well? does this make the current talent contracts become null and void which means current talent are given the option to stay with the company or leave.

Yeah this could have some monstrous repurcussions. As it is, it seems like they want to be streamlining talent contracts and keeping people from making 'too much', and if Khan decides that they're spending too much money on a wrestling school to be signing people to big contracts from elsewhere, NXT could get rocked and stripped very quickly back into the mid-late '00s days where only a few indie guys taking massive pay cuts for the chance to make it in WWE have much prior experience. I expect that in the coming months we're going to see a lot of people cycled out of NXT by force, given half-assed and half-hearted main roster debuts with no plans, and shunted out of the company in more mass firings. It's going to be really ugly, and I wouldn't be surprised if we're looking at relatively current NXT Takeover cards in a year or two and seeing that 3/4 of the wrestlers are now out of the company. It makes me wonder if Finn showing up on the main roster again doesn't have something to do with this move. No more giving people main roster money to dick around in developmental.
