If you answered: The next week she gets called a loser by Charlotte, then loses to Charlotte, gets called a loser again by Charlotte after the match, have her say "I almost won though so let's fight again!", and then have her be beat down by Charlotte AGAIN to end the show... you win a prize!
I thought it was so strange how they let Nikki Cross as a superhero get over for a few weeks and even win the title. She felt like a glitch in the Matrix, actually being allowed to get organically over with fans. Well that's over! She was absolutely killed and then killed again just to make sure she was absolutely dead and there was no coming back!
Again you wonder why WWE can't build new stars... that ending match and segment was basically a shining example as to why. How absolutely humiliating for Nikki who has done her damndest with this gimmick to actually GET it over... just for WWE to snuff it out again for the sake of the ever coveted HEATZ
This company really sucks at booking any sort of believable triumphant face. It's incredible.

Seriously f*** that entire post match shit, I don't care if it's mistimed why did Charlotte need to get a promo, run down Nikki's promo, beat her down, cut more promo, more beatdown. It was absurd. That's your champion, like WHY.

I'm still just confused why they won't just call her Nikki Ash. No one in WWE talks like they've ever spoken to a human being before.

And I thought how they handled Kross last week was the worst way you could book a champion. They legit beat her clean, made her look like a geek by saying she ALMOST won, and then beat her ass again. It's like Rey Mysterio in 2006 crossed with modern day Kyle "losing is a part of life" O'Reilly.

The a stands for almost. The s stands for super. The h stands for hero. Get it, because she’s ALMOST a super hero. We’re having fun here, as RAW ROLLS ON!

Seirously tonight they had Rhea say, "I can't help but respect the unconditional belief you have in yourself." like even for the bizarre cadence of WWE writing, just WHAT

It's like Rey Mysterio in 2006 crossed with modern day Kyle "losing is a part of life" O'Reilly. Here’s the thing, you don’t need to have every babyface have a temper tantrum, go on a mission of undying vengeance or end up getting tormented by inner demons whenever they lose a match. Shit happens. You say it to make fun of him, but O’Reilly is right, it IS a part of life. But it just doesn’t make for a very intriguing story arc for a wrestling character, especially in a company where it often doesn’t actually lead to anything. It’s better off not being addressed at all by the defeated wrestler.

I wouldn't even say Nikki was super over tonight either. Had a friend in attendance who mentioned that she was getting almost complete apathy with some boos (he also mentioned his kids vastly preferred Rhea and Charlotte). WWE really piped in a ton of cheers for her. And you could see the evidence during her entrance before she faced Charlotte where she went to high five two kids and they just...awkwardly did it after hesitating for like 4 seconds.
She got some cheers (as every wrestler does), but this gimmick quite frankly is terrible, and at this point if she makes it past Summerslam as champion, I find it hard to believe she isn't getting murked by an NXT callup or someone like Asuka as soon as the PPV after that.

I don’t know why they are going with an underdog storyline WHEN SHE’S ALREADY THE CHAMPION! The ending would have been more tolerable if she still had the briefcase and she put it up for a title match at SummerSlam. THAT would make sense. Then you would want her to overcome the odds and win the big one and finally beat Charlotte. But she reached her ultimate goal before the big match. She’s done it. By holding the belt, she should be the top dog. But now she’s looking bad by being champion and is an underdog. It’s not just bad booking, it’s backwards booking.

Because people would get confused by having two people that aren’t related having a surname that sound the same, apparently.

She’s not over at all. She never was. It’s just…they invest in the gimmick, they give her money in the bank, they give her the title, and then literally a week of bad reactions leads to a burial. I hate to draw the parallel, but could you imagine how different the landscape over in AEW would be if the same thing was done to the Dark Order?

The difference between both companies I have personally seen is AEW will either stop something or retool it until it works before things spring out of hand where WWE will either stubbornly push ahead until the wheels fall off or they will just one week be like "Eh yeah I'm bored kill this gimmick" It's really not a wonder why a lot of people who still watch the product get super cynical and apathetic towards pushes or new wrestlers showing up... it's like you could start a stopwatch and go "Ok let's see how long until THIS ONE gets f***ed over" and it's not like anyone WANTS to do that or feel this way but WWE gives them zero alternative and it's shown again why tonight.

That's odd. Usually when WWE fans hate a character and WWE has to pipe in cheers for them, WWE pushes them to beat everyone and hold the title for a year

THEN WHY EVEN CALL HER NIKKI ASH? Because people would get confused by having two people that aren’t related having a surname that sound the same, apparently. I’m genuinely drawing a blank on who that would be. Also Adam Cole as Michael Cole’s brash nephew confirmed?

I’m genuinely drawing a blank on who that would be. Karrion Kross. Given WWE’s hate for full names, expect him to just be Karrion at some point.
