Happy 20th Anniversary! I remember first seeing this game on Xbox and being amazed by it. Later bought it on PS2. Still play it and Max Payne 2 at least once a year. Couldn’t get into Max Payne 3 at the time. youtu.be/DsQVD5ttpog

Sort of surprised they have never tried to reboot Max Payne
Hell, even with the ending of Max Payne 3, not like it wouldn't be a stretch to do a 4th game

I read the title, thought we were getting another film for a second, and laughed.
Loved the first. Loved the second. Still love “Late Goodbye”.

Sort of surprised they have never tried to reboot Max Payne Hell, even with the ending of Max Payne 3, not like it wouldn't be a stretch to do a 4th game I think it was Sam Houser (the one who didn’t leave) who said he sees Max as like Batman or James Bond, in that they can always keep creating stories for him. But of course that means Rockstar will have to make games again.

Aye in fairness, they will create a game every 5 years but you better enjoy it because once the singles campaign is over that's it for another 5 years MINIMUM unless you like online content

And yes, that's just the base game for me lol

For some reason I saw his constipated face as such an evolution in graphics.

Classic game, though I have to admit it tangentially brings up some cringy memories. I was knee-deep in my 13-14 year old uber-depressed emo edgelord phase at the time I played it, and so I LOVED this game ‘cause it was SO DARK MAN.

Max Payne dude looks like he's aged about 1 day in 20 years.
And when he came out in the outfit I got a few goosebumps.

Max Payne has been around since the early nineties. I saw him wrestle with Cactus Jack.
