Last night Tiger Queen, Sayama's first chosen and fully trained female Tiger Mask successor debuted in RJPW (Real Japan Pro Wrestling). Technically, the first Tiger Mask bestowed an honorary mask to Sarray making her his sort of first "chosen one" and has links to Mirai in TJPW, but this is the first joshi to actually carry the mantle/gimmick that was chosen and "trained" by both Sayama and Jaguar Yokota. Candy Okutsu (Tiger Dream) technically is the first to have the gimmick but wasn't handpicked. news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/b000c710b010e4d6d7a136f2a041b13b909ba07fIn her debut, she defeated Rina Yamashita. It's really rare for someone to win their debut in Japan, especially against someone as established and dominant as Yamashita, so it looks like they are taking the character very seriously. In terms of how she is, I thought she was really good. It's very clear she isn't a rookie and actually an established wrestler working the gimmick. Only spoilering in case some people prefer the mystery... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}It's very likely ASUKA/VENY. Not confirmed 100% obviously, but her mannerisms come out in the match and she's one of the few to match the height, and many Japanese fans are saying so. I think it won't impact her booking in other companies and she'll wrestle as two completely different characters as needed, but it speaks very highly for her to be picked for this if it's actually ASUKA.

Actually she's the second female to don the Tiger Mask.
Candy Okutsu for a spell in the 90s donned the mask and was called Tiger Dream.

Which I said, but I edited the title for the sake of clarification of how they are billing it. They seem to be making a distinction of the new one being part of the legacy and not bringing up Dream, which kinda sucks for Okutsu if you ask me lol

I've seen some speculation that Tiger Queen is actually ASUKA/VENY, though the wrestler is hyped as being a trainee of Sayama and Yokota. That could merely be marketing. I believe ASUKA was trained by WAVE/Ayako Hamada, though the speculation is far from a sure thing.

Asuka is transgender correct? Yes. Born/assigned a male. They have used the term 'genderless.'

It shows a lot in mannerisms: The training part is probably mostly kayfabe, although I'm sure Sayama and Yokota have been working with her a lot.

Really good job on getting Sayama's trademark moves in.
And yeah, honestly, ASUKA/VENY does seem to be them, her physique, especially her long legs, does look very familiar. I'm glad for her if she was selected for it.
