What in the absolute f*** was that contract signing??

- Roman and Balor come out for a contract signing for a world title match at Summerslam
- Balor gets attacked by Corbin before he's able to sign and taken out
- Corbin gets taken out by Cena before he signs the contract
- Cena signs the contract in giant childlike marker
- Paul Hayman says this shouldn't count because it's literally a contract for Finn Balor to get a title shot and it says so in the contract
- Page AND Deville literally just laugh and say "I don't care. Looks good to me! Match is on!"
- Cena vs Roman for the title at Summerslam is made official
- Pat McAfee later in the night on the recap says "Nu uh Corbin you don't steal contracts around here!" while Cena literally steals a contract from Balor
- Balor and Corbin's response to getting bitched out is just to have a normal match against each other on Smackdown. Yes. Neither of them have an issue with Cena. Balor literally has no issue with his world title match being stolen from him by Cena

All in all... absolutely f*** everyone involved in writing that segment. That was an absolute atrocious segment that made me want Cena to go away more than ever before. Balor and Corbin could not have been bitched out and buried more if they actively tried. They could have just GIVEN Cena the title shot if THAT was the f***ing alternative. Balor in his third week back on the Main Roster... probably reminded why he did an exodus to NXT in the first place. I just... f*** everything about that. I felt like I was on another planet watching it and I was not alone.

It's f***ing wretched booking and for as much as I defend a lot of what WWE does, their open burial of Balor and Corbin for MOAR CENA is utterly indefensible.

They could have just booked the damn match. There is no reason Balor and Corbin had to be sacrificed like they were... ESPECIALLY Balor. 

This was the absolute wrong path to what was the inevitable conclusion that frankly didn't get anyone over doing it.

Finn had no f***ing reason to even be involved if this was the direction they knew they were always going to take it is absoloute horeshit.

Let's just say that they didn't do that thievery with Cena, let's just say that Corbin signed the contract after he attacked Finn, were Adam and Sonya going to give him the title match or were they going to go "But the name on the contract says Finn, and since you're not Finn this contract is null and void."

Though to be fair, they did this exact same thing when Shawn Michaels stole Benoit's contract for Mania 20, so at least they're following precedent.
