I do think AEW would benefit from a six PPV a year model, where one is every two months. But, I think they handle four a year quite well. They're not afraid to throw big matches onto a Dynamite, and as long as it doesn't become rematch city to get to a PPV match, I don't mind. With AEW has a done a good job of not doing. You be hard to find a time where the same match took place more than once from what week to the next or on ppv to the next. Yes they have had rematches but never was it two weeks in a row without a reason, like WWE has been terrible at doing. They build up for the rematch so it had some kind of meaning.

Remember in 2022 they will have the four ppv like Saturday Specials on TNT. That Tony Khan compared to Clash of Champions or Saturdays Night Main Event. So they found away to do more ppvs really. But won't be charging people anymore to watch them.

I feel like AEW would really benefit from being on HBO Max or something like that. I feel like the show is very bing-able and I think that helps the long term storylines and long feuds that they’ve had. Something like Darby vs Team Taz can seem never ending, but if you binge the shows that feature the feud, it works a lot better. Same with the MJF vs Jericho, that feud started all the way back in September, the first show after last years All Out. I do understand why it feels so long because it’s been going on for a year and will end almost exactly a year after it started. But rewatching the old shows and binging them, I find that it’s my favorite week to week storyline AEW has ever done, IMO.
So hopefully someday they get on HBO Max so that people can binge watch the show and maybe that would help give appreciation for the long term storylines.

While I do feel like we're just waiting for the inevitable to happen at All Out, I'd still rather have to wait than fall into the hell of monthly ppv's. It's simply too much, and because the expectation tends to be that big things happen at ppv's, it leads to a lot of hot-shotting and hot potato title changes

I'm fine with it. I like that every AEW show tries to be big on its own instead of "build to ppv, have ppv, repeat.
I'm enjoying Dynamite every week, so I don't care that the ppv is a few weeks away.

i like the current system. have the 4 PPVs which makes each one seem more special because there's so few of them AND gives them time to breath and let feuds develop. one thing i hate about the wwe system is that "hey we just had <PPV> last night and it was great and <next PPV> is right around the corner what could happen there??!?!?" routine. AEW has the flexibility of dealing with the PPV fallout for an episode or two before switching gears. Plus they have their "clash of the champions" style free shows which usually equate to the B level PPVs where you will have some title matches to let the non main storyline challengers get a showcase without trying to force people to pay to see it while saving the big name people for the actual pay ones. the only thing they need to be sure to watch out for is having enough title changes on those shows so everyone doesn;t ignore them and skip ahead to the "real" title match. so far especially with the TNT title they've had basically all their TNT title changes on free tv.
