Man, there are so many good ones. I have fond memories of playing The Simpsons, Dungeons & Dragons, and Aliens vs. Predator in the arcades. The Simpsons was the first arcade game I ever beat. But if I had to pick my Top 10, I'd have to go with X-Men, TMNT, Streets of Rage 1 & 2, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, Final Fight, Captain Commando, King of Dragons, and Dungeon Magic.

Golden Axe Final Fight Streets of Rage 2 Streets of Rage Remake TMNT Turtles in Time River City Ransom Streets of Rage 4 was one of the mostly insanely enjoyable games I’ve played in a long time I like it, but f*** the Max boss fight, the Old Pier stage, and invincibility frames on most of the enemies.

Double Dragon (the first two). Konami licensed works. If you disagree, WELCOME TO DIE. Final Fight (-style). Golden Axe. Crime Fighters...not cause it was a great game, but it had lots of fun visuals. (guess that counts under Konami) The first Double Dragon, absolutely, and I LOVED Crime Fighters! Getting thrown into the train wall was worth it just because of how cartoon like it was. I was in an arcade once and somehow Crime Fighters was playable for free. My friend and I took full advantage for about ninety minutes before management realised what had happened and politely asked us to stop playing.

Streets of Rage 4 was one of the mostly insanely enjoyable games I’ve played in a long time The Mr. X Nightmare DLC is worth it too. It’s the closest we’ll get to an official release of Streets of Rage Remake.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0wpuaUKw48OpenBOR is something people use to make beat'em up games, free for download, sort of like Mugen is/was for fighting games. The person who created this Justice League one has made some others with a lot of polish, too.

Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder would be my number one arcade beat em up
Shout out to the X-men aracde game which was a blast.
Honestly I prefer Streets of Rage 1 over 2 but that's nostalgia talking.
Castle Crashers would be my modern favorite.

I wonder about the chain of licensing that led to there being a beat em up featuring The Simpsons.

Streets of Rage 1 for being able to just fling enemies to their death in couple of stages (elevator one before the final stage is my favorite) and bing able to German suplex the shit outta people. Suplex City bitch!
Honorable mention to The Simpsons Arcade and 6-player Arcade X-Men

I recently had fun playing a hack of Streets of Rage 2 that had playable Street Fighter characters as Fei-Long. It was like a Bruce lee movie!

My vote goes to Final Fight. Am going with this. The other games mentioned here are great, though this is the one I think of right away. Also worth mentioning if they haven't already The Punisher. Playing as Frank or Nick Fury beating up bad guys never gets old. If re-released, would be nice to have alternate skins, any of the live action versions of Punisher or Sam Jackson Fury for example. Die Hard Arcade. Not very faithful to the movie, but one heck of a game. 3D, but more a 2 & a half D.
