I enjoyed it well enough
Never read any of the comics but thought it was decent enough
I got really psyched when I saw Simon Callow in the credits but that didn’t last
I mean you had the bad guy from Ace Ventura 2 aka the AN Official from the greatest film of all time Street Fighter and you do that to him…..for shame

I've seen a lot of musical parodies, but that musical was the most toe-curlingly embarrassing thing ever. My god. Top marks.
Pleasantly entertaining if not feeling all that essential yet. Lots of story left yet, though.

EDIT: The source material, Fraction and Aja's run from several years ago, is so strong and so singular for this show that there's no way Disney drops the ball in adapting it to live action, hopefully. Everything looks like the Fraction/Aja comics without any of that book's spirit, energy, wit, or charm, with the exception of Hailee Steinfeld who does her best to carry this show. Maybe the rest of the show can turn things around, but right now I'm kind of disappointed. The only other highlight so far is the music choice at the end of the second episode.

This sounds like a Sonic 2 Zone, no kidding A"Save the City" is the name of the musical number, and it's also up

Ok, finally got around to watching the first episode. Random thoughts - {Spoiler}Checkers? What did Kate grow up in the 70's? C'mon Mom, get her a DS or something!
So the shawarma thing is public knowledge?
Look buddy, I don't care how badly you want to talk to the superhero, if the bathroom is that empty, you leave at least a one urinal gap. That's just common courtesy.
So the Battle of New York was only the halfway point of Rogers: The Musical? I'm kinda curious what the rest of it covered. Does it end with Endgame?
Pat Kiernan returns! Once again on the front line of reporting super-villain attacks in the city of New York.
Public service note - you really shouldn't feed pizza to a dog. Especially NYC pizza, which probably contains garlic and other seasonings which could be potentially dangerous to a doggies digestive systems.
Wait, they're actually called the "Tracksuit Mafia"? I thought that was a fan nickname. That sounds like a group that should be battling Adam West's Batman.

{Spoiler}I’m guessing the Cap musical starts with the super-soldier serum origin and events of The First Avenger, then skip forward to Battle of New York (what we see on this show), then Winter Soldier, followed by Civil War’s events leading to The Snap, then Endgame (skipping over the time-travel adventures), ending with Cap’s “death” and one more big musical medley.

I love dogs and you should take good care of them, but feeding them pizza isn't like giving them a bar of chocolate or something.

This is my gripe and you worded it better than I could. The makers clearly wanted to make Matt Fractions comic run into a show, but somehow missed the charm that made it so likeable. It's like that early 2000's Punished movie where you could tell they read the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillion comics, but then did a lifeless version of it without any of the humor.

Why would you go to a musical about yourself?

Why would you go to a musical about yourself? To complain about what they get wrong obviously.

After watching episode two - {Spoiler}Why is Clint over-complicating everything? Like, why did he need to steal a firefighters suit to sneak into Kate's apartment? He could've literally gone to whoever the firefighter or police officer in charge was, said "hi, I'm Hawkeye, an Avenger, and I need to get something out of here" and I can't imagine them not being more then happy to help him out.
I'm also not sure what the Tracksuit Mafia is thinking at the end there. Their best play would've been to just listen to what Clint had to say and hope they can come to an agreement that still leaves them below anybody importants radar. If they continue to push him like they're doing they're going to quickly find themselves a priority to a group like SHIELD or even the Avengers, and while I might not know what Echo's endgame is here, I can not imagine that's a war she wants to fight.
It actually reminds me of an old Connor Hawke-era Green Arrow story. A Russian mobster manages to get the better of Connor and is about to kill him when his Mobster boss comes in and basically tells him "don't you dare, all that will do is piss off people like Superman invite him to get into our business".

David Aja, the artist on the Hawkeye comics that this series is based on, is now being compensated for his work on the book and was acknowledged in the credits. This comes a month after he had begun to air his grievances publicly over a lack of money for contributing to the character. twitter.com/i/web/status/1464042583663865856
