I feel bad for the guy, in that they're clearly giving him a big singles push sooner rather than later and he clearly isn't ready for it.

Yeah it's a shame how quickly they're like "Alright training wheels off you're ready for this" when he is Not. The fun of him wrecking guys in very controlled tag scenarios is gone when the dude's flailing around sadly on his own. If they really wanted to transition to him as the new big guy on Raw they should've kept Braun around for a while yet while Omos learns basic stuff.

You can work with limitations on size and mobility. You can't with delayed reaction times to moves and constantly being out of position like he is now.

I was never the guys biggest fan, but this stuff just makes me appreciate what Braun brought to the table.
Yeah he was tall, but the man was also pretty damned athletic for his size, was legit strong (his background really helped put him over too), he could work, he could sell, he could talk, he had charisma...I don't think I ever really acknowledged how good he actually was.
Like he had flashes here and there that were impressive, but I always saw him as "another big guy". But then you look at Omos, and you start to recognize that yeah...they probably shouldn't have gotten rid of Strowman.
Especially because he's the one tall guy that can teach the OTHER tall guys how to do it. Much like Show did for him.

Big dude who has a lot of limitations based on his size, but he's low key very impressive within those limitations. Comes out to average at best when compared to all other wrestlers, seems overpushed as a result. Then he gets replaced by moss-green stiffs who make him look like AJ Styles in comparison....

Albert was much better than Braun, honestly, though Braun was alright. Omos sometimes makes me wistful for Great Khali.

The wild thing about firing Braun mid-story because we have 'bigger dudes now' is that aside from those bigger dudes needing to no longer be green and terrible, if you build up one of those big dudes to the level where he can feud with and beat Braun Strowman, you have done way more to establish the guy. Like, remember how Big Show in his later years was called on to lose to guys like Braun and Big Cass on the idea that they could use this established, all-timer big man to establish the next generation of giants? Obviously nothing could be done about Cass and how that went, but they just shitcanned Braun without even considering that there was any kind of upside to having him stick around even just to put over one of the new guys. It's not even that they've forgotten how wrestling is supposed to work, they've just endeavored to show it open, seething contempt at every turn.

Hey, now, be fair, they did have Braun interact with Azeez long enough to, uh, completely squash him in two minutes.
