With NWA just having an all womens PPV and Impact announcing an all Knockouts event for October, do you think its only a matter of time before AEW do something similar? And I don't mean like the Womens Title Eliminator tournament from earlier this year- I mean a full, live crowd event with nothing but womens matches?
They certainly have the roster for it to happen now; I think one of the TNT specials in 2022 would be a great place to do it. Centre it around the Britt and Rosa rematch, maybe have the NWA womens or Knockout title defended, put on the finals of a tournament, maybe crown inaugural female tag champs?

They would need some big matches, like both the AEW Women’s title, crowning a the first women’s midcard/tag champs, plus two more big matches for a special Dynamite, let alone promo time which needs character who can use the mic.
I think it’s possible, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. They need to build up the division a bit more. I like the direction the division is going with more alliances forming. Really hope it leads to a women’s tag title by the beginning of next year. They are still a ways away from a full women’s special card however.

Thats not needed with Khan saying the Women Eliminator tournament will be a yearly thing, so around Jan-February 2022.

Maybe if they could get TNT on board but otherwise it seems unlikely

I think it could work if it was one of those special shows on B/R Live like Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen were before they became specially branded Dynamites. I'd also like to see them do what NWA did with EmPowerrr and bring in women from different promotions. A show with AEW's increasingly better women's roster with some people from NWA, Impact, and their joshi partners could be a lot of fun.

I know it's not always a simple thing when working with network partners, but I kind of wish AEW and WWE, given that they have the biggest rosters in North America, would find a way to get a weekly all-women's show going. It wouldn't mean no longer having any women's matches on Dynamite/SD/Raw/Rampage, but setting aside a televised hour or so that focuses exclusively on women's matches and storylines would be something fresh and give the women more time and spotlight.
I realize that's not always a popular idea to have a show that makes the women seem separate from the rest of the show, but I just feel kind of drawn in by the puro format where there are distinct promotions for men and women since it gives more people a chance to get featured. I get that might not be quite so feasible in US TV wrestling, granted.

Hope not. All-female events are totally unnecessary. Just book the ones you do have properly.

I'd rather have the women booked regularly and properly on Dynamite and Rampage. I think all-female shows can be a bit performative sometimes and don't mean anything if the weekly booking isn't going to improve.

If they're gonna do an all women show, it should be a regular weekly show, not a one time PPV. A space where the women know they're gonna be booked, know they got multiple storylines going, and don't have to fight for time against the mid and undercard guys.
I'm kinda okay with a yearly tourney though.

Doing it as a one off is worse than giving them their own regular show to cordon them off.
Just put women on TV and let them have interesting feuds. It is really, really not difficult.

A super show like Empowerr made it work with a large net of other companies involved and was a spectacle of a show. Not sure an AEW only one would have the same effect.

I'd love to see one, but I'm not holding my breath for it to happen. The last two times they did special events iwth just the women they relegated them to Youtube.

Certainly I’m not against that idea in principle, but for now AEW ought to be focusing on building up women who can main event *any* of their PPVs. They’re still competing with the Sashas, Flairs and Beckys of the business in terms of ticket sales.
Just saying, they’ve got something good in Baker right now. Build on that.

Not gonna lie, I’d be down with a female show done similar to the original all out, women from everywhere AEW/tna/impact/Japan etc

I get that might not be quite so feasible in US TV wrestling, granted. I don't understand why this is controversial/unpopular. It makes zero sense to have a women's division that exists in a bubble on a show that is 80% dedicated to men's wrestling complete with a midcard, multiple divisions, main eventers etc.
