I loved it. Great episode and great villian. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Liked what i saw of Ncuti but would've liked to see more. Can't wait for Christmas.
I liked that it left the door open for Tennant to do more specials in the future.
I liked the idea of bi-generation but the delivery could've used a bit better explanation. Saying it was a myth and that being that was kinda lazy writing.
Also his face returning could've used a better explanation too. Even so i'm glad he got a happy ending. Granted i'm sure it will stoke the flames of who The Curator is.
NPH was glorious.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO DANCE}donna was right ...
THE DOCTOR IS LIKE BLOODY WORMS!!!!
OH MA GAWD
that was a WILD ending to this triple whovian
the corridor part was perhaps too similar to last weeks journey down the ship, but the toymakers' has a lot more doors!
oh god the dolls, and that bannarjee marionette was HORRIFYING!!!
shame old bernard couldn't be there for the start of this episode ... still got in with those moles ... yeah they'll evolve and cause trouble!!!
the callbacks was lovely and heart rendering, could have gone a bit further back in time, and not just selected nuwho companions ... adrics will never make me not sad ...
patric harris was bonkers, great dance to spice up your life akin to the sound of drums, and very funny too
and where the HELL is "below the underverse"?
so we have "the boss" and "the one who waits", they ain't laying a path, it's a whole sodding motorway!
this did not feel like just over an hour ... it felt more like TWO, and it was beautifully paced
and vlinx ... don't access my internet history ... bloody swat!
all in all, this WAS balls out ... ironic donna catching that one eh?
oh and the TARDIS also is a bloody worm ...

So just one minor complaint - {Spoiler}I'm sorry, but after Bernard Cribbins passed they should've re-shot the scenes were Wilf was mentioned to make clear that he passed away sometime prior to "The Star Beast". I understand they don't want these specials to be a downer or anything, but it was just way too awkward the way they were filming around him actually showing up. In the one scene he was in they could've always used Rose instead, give her a little bit more of a role in the story.

I thought I would dislike the thing they did here but ended up liking it a lot. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Mainly I love that the new doctor gets a completely fresh start and can have happy adventures with the weight of the series history being dealt with offscreen by the 14th doctor. It’s a clever way to reset without ignoring. Ready to have some fun with this incarnation.

My full review {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Gave it a 9. Most fun I've had with the specials, and I've liked them all. I'm a 90s kid, I grew up in the wilderness years, I read the novels, I guess you could say I'd be a regular at the Fitzroy if I fancied a pint, so none of the lore changing and rule bending bothers me anymore, seen it all before, and we've all seen worse😃
That said, this was rushed to hell. All the specials felt very undercooked to be honest. Only Wild Blue Yonder felt like it had decent pacing. Everything about this felt like a 90 minute story that got trimmed brutally in the editing suite.
Toymaker's motivations are non-existent, he's there to cause chaos and nothing much else. The idea of the world being made to think they're 'right' to the brink of oblivion could have been expanded beyond the one riot scene they had but they blew the budge on it, and it whittled down to nothing. The giggle in itself didn't have much of a lingering presence in the story at all either if you notice.
Loved the Moffat era puppet show. Felt bad Rory was left out though. No River puppet either...now that would have been fun
Gold tooth Master...better than Missy anyway... 😛
Nice to see Mel there, sad to hear about Glitz.
What is with Shirley walking? Is it UNIT tech doing that? I'm used to that sort of thing in comics like Batgirl, just explain it a bit.
Ncuti is already a pretty infectious Doctor, with wisdom and compassion, but most importantly great command and vitality, he will be a smash hit for sure. Great to see Tennant's Doctor happy and content with his life at last as he gets to live it with Donna. Too bad she's married, because I really wanted them to kiss in the TARDIS
So yeah, probably am overrating it a tad, but I thoroughly enjoyed that, plus I listen to Spice Girls every Christmas so that helped

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I think I liked Wild Blue Yonder the most. I'm a sucker for a high-concept story and a two-hander (with eight hands, of varying sizes).
But this unexpected trilogy of stories have all been fun and entertaining and I'm glad they did them.
I'm completely sangfroid about the bi-generation, too. We haven't had a weird regeneration in a while, so hey, I can roll with it.
Ncuti is full of cheeky charm, too.

Why are we talking in spoiler tags? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Mostly good but again seemed to have too many ideas. Everyone thinking they're right was a nice idea but barely developed and seems it should have been separate from the toymaker.
I also think the game logic could have been used more. There's plenty of games where you double up or split (think draughts or blackjack) that would have made more sense for the bi regeneration.
It raises some questions, is Tennant doctor really going to be at home while earth is under threat an Donna is going to work to deal with it?
But oh well, still fun and worked largely on cast chemistry/fondness again.
New guy seems like he'll be good which I never think about a new doctor. Might be because having no trousers reminds me of ghosts

Why are we talking in spoiler tags? My understanding of the rules is that for streaming programs we're supposed to give any direct discussion of its contents two days of spoiler tags after it's dropped, unless it's a specifically identified spoiler thread.

I very much enjoyed the third special, I had a blast with all three.
Having binged all of 12 & 13 in one go, this felt very nice.

Yeah, I was able to see the special the day of, but the spoilers are genuinely appreciated. Nothing worse than accidentally going into a thread before I've seen an episode of something and getting spoiled. It's a great policy that gives people some breathing room in their preferred online spaces.
{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} For the episode, I wasn't initially digging the toymaker but he did grow on me as a villain.
As with others I think they could have explored more what was happening down below to everyone everywhere. With everyone believing they're right, I don't know how we didn't get some nukes flying.
I think the write off for Tennant was nice. The fact that he has a tardis and has already used it gives an out if there is some world ending threat and he's not around. Also though, it does leave the door open for occasional appearances.
Overall, these three specials have not been perfect, but I've enjoyed them. They captured a bit of that feeling we had when NuWho first got going. Yes, they can be a bit heavy handed at times when espousing their values (though so can just about any show with a message), but overall it's been a good time.
I still wish that Jodie Whitakker had gotten even a season with RTD to show what she could do. She always had a great doctorness to her.

I’m very excited we don’t have to wait long for the next episode. I feel completely refreshed by these three specials and can’t wait to get into what comes next. The time just feels perfect for a new Doctor.

The Doctor clubbing gives me bad vibes. I mean it could be fine but considering this is RTD I dread nothing more than the return of the Pedoctor age 2,000 odd pulling barely legal girls and/or boys. If that happens they should bring back the Pandorica alliance to drag his ass to a consent class. I hope considering where we are now Russell realizes that the vibes are off and just like... doesn't do it. If you want to give the doctor a love interest, the man's a grandfather so go right ahead, but at least make it i dunno. Not ick.
