This may be controversial but the peoples elbow is a poor finisher because of the time it takes to set up and then do. I always cheered when the opponent got up as the rock was getting the ropes the second time because that made sense. Any finishing move that takes way too long and is overly complicated to do, in my eyes a bad one. That was the point of the People's Elbow. Rock was taunting his opponent who he incapacitated with either the spinebuster or Rock Bottom, that nuance was just lost because the move got so over

Didn't Ezekiel Jackson do 3-4 scoop slams in a row as a finisher for a while? Man, Big Zeke was having solid matches at the end of WWECW then he went to wherever and they said “You do scoops slams now” lol They really didn't understand that he was looking so good because he was wrestling great guys consistently and had Regal in his ear the entire time. Another example of someone being way too green for their push because Vince overlooked the guys carrying them

I'm surprised no one said Outback Jack's boomerang, clothesline to the back.

Didn't Ezekiel Jackson do 3-4 scoop slams in a row as a finisher for a while? He was doing it but not as a finisher. He was using the torture rack as a finish with the body slams being used to set it up. Slaughter's noogie I would say is probably the worst. Fortunately he didn't have it long before he switched to the camel clutch, although he still had it as his finisher in the Wrestlefest arcade game. Damien Demento using a knee drop for a finisher is really bad. Del Rio's was really bad for different reasons in just how nonsensical and fake it looked.

I know it makes kayfabe sense, but any finish that is just a punch. The WMD, the heart punch, I don't care if it would kill me really, I am watching theatrical fake fighting. Give me a Canadian Destroyer any day.

It's so weird with Del Rio because his cross armbreaker was smooth as silk, and his kneeling superkick was impactful and had kayfabe credibility since he pinned Cena clean with it. No idea why he stuck with the tree of woe double stomp when he had those moves in his arsenal.
Anyway, worst is definitely Byron Saxton's modified crapshit from earlier in the thread.

I'm going to defend the Samoan Spike. It's jamming a thumb with a lot of force right into someone's throat. Yeah, it's not flashy or impressive looking, but it should be damn effective at taking someone out.
Jeff Jarrett's Stroke finisher always looked really corny to me. Like, it always looked like he was taking the brunt of the move.

I'm surprised no one said Outback Jack's boomerang, clothesline to the back. What makes it so amusing is your regular clothesline has to be shit for the boomerang to even be a thing.

I'm genuinely surprised that they let him do that move on a regular basis. The Doug Williams one was absolutely brutal. The one he did to someone into a pool and she was just inches from the edge of the pool. And closer her back would been broken.

I always held my breath whenever Hernandez did a Border Toss. It looked so dangerous.

f*** Hernandez anyway. Too many stories about him lying about his influence in TNA at the time to take people's money and for also being emotionally and physically abusive to people in his circle.

I refuse to hear any Overdrive slander. That move is great.

I hate the heart punch, especially the variant where the person doing the move is holding ONE of his opponent's arms behind his head.
The other arm is RIGHT THERE AND DANGLING! MOVE, YA DINGUS!

Sorry Beautiful Bobby, but the Alabama Jam.
Jump off the top turnbuckle, land square on your ass. By wrestling logic, if the guy taking the move gets out of the way, it would hurt Bobby, even though the impact would be exactly the same as if he landed it.

Big E's Big Ending should be on the list if the Stroke or Kennedy's Mic Check is.
