So I flipped through Batman: Death in the Family about a week back for the first time in awhile, and it really struck me how 1) Outside of maybe Neal Adams, Aparo to me draws pretty much the definitive Batman, and how great a clean style he has and 2) You never hear him mentioned that much when people talk about good to great comics artists. But the man has chops AND longevity-- heck he did most of the Brave and the Bold original series back in the seventies, and still did stuff on the whole Knightfall storyline of the mid nineties. Sadly, he died in 2005, but I think the guy should be more recognized for his contributions to comics, especially DC history.. so heck consider this thread just that. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Aparo

Aparo and Norm Breyfogle were my favorite Batman artists.
All good things must end.
