Let's say Chris Nowinski hadnt suffered post concussion syndrome and didnt have to retire, where would he be now? I know what he's currently doing is more important than anything he did in wrestling, but it would be interesting to see where is career hadnt gone.

I don't think he'd be like a main eventer but I can see one of two things happening:
1) He becomes a regular upper midcarder that occasionally slots into the main event, basically the role Miz has been occupying for the last decade.
2) He slowly gets less and less focus and eventually is either sent back to developmental to retool his gimmick, or he just gets let go.
He'd deserve the first result, but considering how fickle WWE was during this era, I think the second one is more likely, but he may have been able to make an ROH (or other indie) stint work, dude was extremely talented, but never got to fully realize it.

He was a great talker, I know he was pretty green still when he wrestled but had a lot of promise. I don't know if the Harvard gimmick would say Main Event, but IC or US title I can see.

Actually, I remember right before he left tv, they did a backstage segment where he claimed he would be the one to deflower Molly Holly (as if that Virgin Molly story couldnt have been any more offensive), so sadly, that's what he may have been doing.

He had a good size and his gimmick meant he could get heat ludicrously easily, so, probably a comedy heel midcarder, which, not a terrible spot to be in. Could see him as an IC or tag champion.

That was in 2002 and didnt go anywhere as I recall. Once Trish won the belt back Molly was off to Heat with no storylines. In 2003 when Nowinski was hurt he was doing a story where he joined Teddy Longs stable (as he was discriminated against because of his education) and teamed with Rodney Mack. he also added a face mask to his gimmick because of his concussions. |
