So Peyton Manning finally did it, he's won the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl monkey is off his back. Who is the heir apparent to it?

McNabb.
Without a doubt.
He's lost it once. Been close to the game 3 other times. And his team almost got to the NFC Title game without him. There is absolutely no reason why the Eagles shouldn't win the NFC Title next year if McNabb is healthy. They're almost good enough without him.

Definitely McNabb. Then a few years down the line, if Brees keeps up this ridiculous pace, it'll be him. Also, as much as I love DA BEARS!!!, Urlacher doesn't really belong on this list, although I really hope he retires a Bear and wins at least one Superbowl before then.

Well I put Urlacher on the list because he's seen as the leader of his team. I put Owens on because with all the negativity that surrounds him, maybe a Super Bowl win could change that a little. Romo is on because basically anyone who is Dallas's QB has that pressure.

McNabb simply because he is the leagues primer ringless quaterback. I think Matt Haselback should be on the list.

Poor Donovan...he's running away with this. Maybe I should have put A-rod on the list. Both of them.

Well if A-Rod wins a Super Bowl, then that would be quite a feat. Maybe that's why he has yet to win a World Series. He's playing tight end instead of 3rd.
One name NOT on your list, and more deserving than half the list (Larry Johnson??), is Steve McNair:
*One Super Bowl *Three AFC Title appearances *Three playoff appearances as the 1 or 2 seed in the AFC (including 2006) *And he was NFL MVP three years ago

But he's in Baltimore now where the focus is on the defense and the pressure on him isnt as great, add to that he's getting close to the end. I put Larry Johnson on the list because he's a young superstar back who is THE face of a Kansas City team that seems to have been on the verge for a long time, and basically that whole offense is getting older now, which puts the load on him even more. And I know there are other guys out there who have pressure, thats why the "other" option is there. I didnt wanna go through and put 32 guys on it. Allthough putting the one guy from each team would have been interesting.

Coming to Baltimore, McNair inhereted a championship caliber defense. It's now his job to put the team over the top.

I guess that was my point. If he stayed in Tennessee, then he would be in a place without expectations; therefore, we can't place that monkey on his back for the organization's faults.

Owens will be remembered as a turkey more than a monkey I'm thinking he's more along the lines of a jackass than a turkey. Voted LT as a pity vote.

The Super Bowl albatross is something that isn't always thrown around the neck of a running back. Barry Sanders and Gale Sayers are among the all-time greats, and their legacies are less tarnished than Dan Marino and Fran Tarkenton. Plus, I see some of these names and I keep thinking, "You know. The NFL was around before 2002."

Steve McNair was mentioned, but who else is there really? I'm sure there are more, just having a hard time thinking of any except for maybe Randy Moss.
