In the spirit of the season, which is your favorite event?
For me, it's 1997. Yes, I know, the main event...but Rey vs Eddie is probably the best CW title match ever, and one of the best matches in WCW history. DDP/Savage is a fun brawl. I enjoyed Flair/Hennig. There's just an excitement in the air at this event.

1995. Monster Trucks + Dungeon of Doom + YETTAY = The greatest PPV WCW ever presented.

1991 and 1995. I have warm nostalgic feelings for 1998. I'm with you on 98. Hogan v Warrior is terrible but the card is super stacked beyond that. Goldberg v DDP. Bret v Sting. Nash v Hall. Jericho v Raven. Scott v Rick Steiner. It has way more star-power than that year's Starrcade. The Cruiserweight title match with Kidman v Disco is also one of Disco's better matches.

I think Brian Zane's middling review of the 1989 edition is what Havoc was in a nutshell: not all the wrestling holds up today, and there's loads of cheese, but also a lot of memorable bits too. And there's usually a classic match or two in there, or an underrated one.
I guess the early ones I am nostalgic for nonetheless. Meaning 89 through like 92.
And those Elvira commercials.

There's so many good ones but I've seen 1995 so many times. Such a classic.
Giant falling off the building. Schiavone and Heenan selling it like he's dead. Yetay humping Hogan. I mean there's nothing not to like about '95.

1997, easily.
Is it the best? Not necessarily. But it was the first PPV I watched live. Not like, there. But a friend's dad ordered it and there was a whole watch party. It was a f***ing great night and an awesome PPV. Loved every second of it.

HH memories, both good and not so good...
The Elvira ads, as I mentioned before. The "It's COMING" ones...I know 1990 did it, did 1989 do it too? (Was obsessed with El Gigante saying it in Spanish) Actually I think 1991 had an It's Coming ad too. Lex and Brian was really surprisingly good. Wanting to see what Doom was. Roadies/Scrapers was made out to be a big deal at the time. The Thunderdome wasn't one of the best examples of the Ric and friends vs. Funk and friends feud, but it was still hot enough for me to be invested. Muta vs. the fire Philly hates babyfaces Samoans using the DAMN HALLOWEEN THEME SONG. Last Eaton/Lane Midnight Express match. For some reason I was into the Master Blasters cause I liked their entrance theme. Doom/Horsemen was a really good fight. When The Wrestler wrote an article explaining how the Horsemen knew enough to successfully disguise Windham as Sting. I want to say Hansen/Lex was surpringly good too? Steiners/Nasty Boys was really good, when you need hardcore rules to get a classic out of the Nastys that's a high compliment. The orange ring ropes. Havocs in general had memorable sets, usually. 1991: Invasion of the Wrestlecrap gimmicks Taylor/Eaton was an underrated match. The start of the Dangerous Alliance. The damn Refer-Eye Camera. The Creatures being hyped on the other hand, end up being nothing but jobbers. Paul E and Madusa....just...That Promo. The Mini-Movies Arrive. Philly hates faces, again. Pillman's entrance in '92...first time I remember visibly seeing fans give someone the bird. Cactus and Vader was of course really good. Funk Fears Pumpkin It's BROTHER BRUTI!!!!! THE YETTAAAAAAY! Sumo Monster Trucks! Sting is a sucker yet again and I knew it was coming, but marked out anyway. Badd and DDP seemed like a decent match at the time, OSW exposed it for not totally holding up. First time I really noticed a fan run-in. Eddy and Rey of course. Age in A Cage. Jericho nearly kills himself on PPV. Savage and DDP was really good. As was DDP and Goldberg in 1998. ...but the PPV feed running out. Need I say anything more about The Ultimate(ly Bad) Challenge II? Jericho/Raven was an interesting heel vs heel combo.
