They don’t go under because their star power is too big, but if Rus got his WCW level of control then I highly doubt 2000 is remembered as the golden era it was. Half of it would be so bad it’s funny, the other half would be a bigger cringe factory than his TNA lows. We would've gotten more crap like Mae Young giving birth to a hand and the Gerald Briscoe vs. Pat Patterson evening gown match. And given how LoD were treated, it’d be open season on a lot of your favorite tag acts. The Radicalz left WCW to get away from the madness (not Macho) and they wouldn’t be able to flex their work rate muscle, Rock and HHH and Angle and Foley wouldn’t be allowed to have those great matches. Trish probably doesn’t develop as fast, the “bark like a dog!” may have been a McMahon idea but Rus definitely would have encouraged that, he probably thinks “why are we pushing Jericho so fast, bro?” Even though he had some interesting perspectives in 1997, there’s no way he’d help WWF 2000 grow in the way it did.

Mae Young birthing the hand actually happened under Kreski in early 2000. You can also tell it’s not Russo because as stupid as it was, at least it actually finished a storyline, something Russo was incapable of doing.

The Viagra on a Pole match would have still happened but it would have been Patterson vs. Brisco. Your mileage may vary as to whether it has more dignity that way.

I heard a rumor that if he stayed, during the Big Bossman/Big Show feud over Show's deceased father, his father would be cremated and Undertaker would flush his ashes down the toilet, which was worse than what we already got.

2000 becomes a terrible year for the company, instead of the incredible year it was.
What of WCW? See I did like the craziness that was New Blood era WCW and beyond. Without Russo that stuff wouldn't have happened. So, kinda ironically, if Russo stays with WWF both companies suffer.. at least in my opinion haha

Apparently Russo was re hired by WWE in 2002, but let go within 2 weeks.

Apparently Russo was re hired by WWE in 2002, but let go within 2 weeks. According to Brian Gerwirtz's book, Russo asked the writers if they had ever done HHH vs. Chris Jericho. Michael Hayes responded by saying it was the main event of WrestleMania three months earlier.
