Can we count Thunderbolt Patterson? When Ole turned on him and allied with Arn, that was the first link in what would eventually become the Four Horsemen.
In that same vein, Manny Fernandez, who was feuding with Arn when Ole did the run-in that started their team and turned him against Thunderbolt.

It's often forgotten that Eddie Guerrero won the WWE championship from Brock Lesnar because Goldberg interfered to set up their match at Wrestlemania XX. By the way WWE portrays it, it makes it look like Latino Heat did it all on his own. Still a great and memorable moment though.
Ken Shamrock was the referee during the Bret Hart/Stone Cold Steve Austin submission match at Wrestlemania XIII. The match most famous for Austin's crimson mask as he refused to quit. You could say the World's Most Dangerous Man was a bit player in their double turn.
Speaking of double turns, Los Conquistitors were the last team eliminated on Demolition's team when Mr. Fuji dumped them(Demolition) for The Powers of Pain.
Randy Savage's IC title feud with Ricky Steamboat was an extension of his feud with George "The Animal" Steele. Steele even accompanied Steamboat at ringside at Wrestlemania III.
While Honky Tonk Man's 1997 run(as a manager) is often forgotten, it did help the formation of the New Age Outlaws as he managed Billy Gunn(then known as Rockabilly) only for Gunn to turn on his protege to join forces with fellow journeyman Jesse James.

Not exactly an angle, but Booker T was doing a backstage interview when Eric Bischoff appeared on Raw (and WWE TV) for the first time.
Similarly, The Rock was doing an in-ring promo when Jericho debuted on Raw.

While Drew Mcintyre is credited with eliminating Brock Lesnar at the 2020 Royal Rumble via claymore kick, he had some assistance from Ricochet who kicked Brock in the family jewels immediately beforehand.
Not an angle, but definately worth mentioning, The Executioner(played by Buddy Rose) was the first ever Wrestlemania entrant, the second being Hall of Famer Tito Santana.
Here's a much older one courtesy of wikipedia... (the bolded parts are the wrestler and storyline he's adjacent to)
In June 1976, Baron Mikel Scicluna found himself part of history, as the opponent for Gorilla Monsoon on the night Monsoon engaged in an impromptu tussle with boxing great Muhammad Ali. Scicluna was wrestling Monsoon in a televised match and was sent over the top rope to the floor after receiving a Manchurian Chop. Scicluna waved off his opponent and walked off, taking a countout loss. From there, Ali entered the ring from the audience and tried to jab at Monsoon. Monsoon responded by dropping Ali with an airplane spin. This angle was a part of the buildup toward Ali's infamous boxer vs. wrestler match with Antonio Inoki later in the month.

Right before Rick Rude revealed his Cheryl Roberts tights and got pansted by Jake the Snake with the big "censored" blur, he defeated journeyman jobber Tommy Angel.
The angle where Greg Valentine put Superstar Billy Graham in the figure four and ended his career as a manager, relegating him to the commentary booth, started with Valentine defeating jobber Ricky Ataki and refusing to release the figure four until Muraco and Graham ran down to stop him. Muraco chased Jimmy Hart away while Graham checked on Ataki, setting up the sneak attack by Valentine.

Okay I didnt actually see this thread when I posted in the "That Happened?" thread but its weird to think Samu of the Headshrinkers was part of the match where Hulk Hogan returned in 1983 which essentially revolutionised the business at that time.

BUMP!
Bob Backlund introduced the return of Hulk Hogan to the WWF to fight off the Wild Samoans and avenge him against The Iron Sheik for the WWF championship.
edit:just realized somebody beat me to it well over a year.
Another example is before Bret Hart went berserk on Vince McMahon on RAW in March 97, he was in a steel cage match with Sid.

I bet a lot of people forget that Goldberg's first real angle was against Steve McMichael. With a weird assist from Alex Wright, no less.

Disco Inferno and Bam Bam Bigelow had run-ins during Goldberg's streak ending match at Starrcade 1998.
The Miz had a small role during the big Rock/Cena angle at Wrestlemania 27. In all seriousness, Alex Riley probably fits. His association with Miz meant he was out there involved in a Mania main event and the week before when Rock and Cena came face to face for the first time Riley also appeared in the segment and was the first person in 7 years to attack The Rock.

The angle where Power & Glory officially formed and attacked the Rockers came after Roma jobbing to Dino Bravo.

X-Pac basically being the reason the Austin v McMahon feud ended in 99 never gets mentioned I feel. It made sense at the time with Taker trying to get Kane away from X-Pac so he interferes in the first blood match leading to Taker bleeding.

Austin stunnering Vince McMahon in 1997 came after Austin attacked Owen Hart after an Owen Hart/Brian Pillman match, and Owen won that match by countout when Goldust ran in (this was during the angle where Pillman had Terri Runnels). www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-Aw0vd2VX0

Most don't remember that The American Males were laid out when Hall and Nash attacked the WCW wrestlers backstage at Disney.

Scott Steiner accompanied Hogan while Scott Hall (in a Wolfpack shirt) accompanied Nash for the Fingerpoke of Doom. The poke is all that people talk about but it was the sight of the four of them all celebrating immediately after that really hammered home the magnitude of it, for better or for worse.

Its wild that Mike Enos still had a job at that point after the allegations about Craig Pitbull Pittman and the plunger.

Not a wrestler but in kayfabe and in the commercials, beloved horror host Elvira created and literally built the WCW Chamber of Horrors.
