The only thing that was kinda meh was Baker/Conti...and that had nothing to do with the work in the ring, it was some of the best either has ever done and it was a fantastic match on the merits. But oh man, you could feel how much nobody (except my wife) bought a Conti win. That's entirely on the booking going into the match, and how that lack of tension dampened the only women's match on the PPV proper.
My personal threshold still says 10, since my standard isn't perfect, it's must-see.

I gave it a 9. The middle kinda sagged a little, but I don't think it's possible to sustain a high speed over a four hour-long PPV. There were some excellent matches and stories told throughout and HANGMAN WON.
The headlines from All Out were the debuts. The headlines from Full Gear are going to be the matches and the winners so for me, this is the best AEW PPV of the year.

There were a few iffy booking choices imo. And the weakness in how they book the women’s division was made even more clear here in particular.
But overall it was a really good show.

9. It was easily their best PPV from a match perspective but I cannot give a 10 to a show that has nine matches, one women's match, and it was easily the least built up match of the lot. It did have a few flubs also but nothing that particularly detracts. Deeb/Shida II should've been on this show.

10/10, probably my favorite ppv of all time. The weakest was the women's bout and that was still solid. When there are legit four matches that could be match of the night, you know it's something special. Watched it with people who have never watched AEW and they were instant fans. They exploded when Page won the title like they had been watching the show from the start.

I don’t think AEW is the perfect company or anything, but god damn am I thankful it exists. Because without it my 20+ year love of pro wrestling would be over.
And this was one of the greatest shows the company has ever put on. Just a phenomenal pro wrestling PPV.

10. Ending that good means any gripes I can really think of feel meaningless.

Again, absolutely NOTHING against Tay, but not much has changed since the last time she challenged and failed to win the belt from the champion who dropped it to Baker under 7 months ago.

It’s not really her fault, she plays the role well. But her feuds are not written to be interesting. And it does not feel like her opponents gain much from feuding with her. They either need to just put the title on Thunder Rosa already. Or put more effort into the writing and booking going forward.

9/10
Very few low points.
In no order:
Britt V Tay: 7/10 decent but had a tough time getting traction
Punk V Eddie: 8.5/10 loved how gritty it was. Eddie wasn't their for a wrestling match but a fight, Hope they run that back.
Jurrasic Express/Cage V Super Elite: 8/10 Started slow but picked up at the end.
MJF v Darby: 8/10 This will be amended if this feud continues, Darby has been in a slump since losing the TNT title.
Rhodes/Pac VS Malakai Black/Andrade: 7/10 Nothing terrible but man Cody needs to get some perspective because he's going to hurt the product if he doesn't either turn ot take a big L
Danielson/Miro: 9/10 Hard hitting goodness. Nothing flashy, Just a classic match.
Lucha Bros v FTR: 7.5/10 Not bad, solid. The finish was odd but it will likely lead to a rematch
Omega v PAge 9.5/10 Like a lot of people I wanted to see that OWA kickout. The ref bump knocked it down slightly, I would have prefered a clean match but the story this match told was nothing short of legendary stuff. Full circle for Page, outstanding.

Also they did not bother to make Tay feel like a truly big threat, or give this match any really interesting hook. They had ONE solid vignette hyping this up, A DAY before the PPV. Not too mention wanting to have Britt’s flunkies interfere, but also just booking Britt to kick out of every big move Tay had (not a fan of that) it’s just a weird disconnect.

MJF/Darby: Incredible. I’m curious what Meltzer gives it. Great storytelling and incredible action. Brilliant finish; MJF should have won but the ending protected Darby. Incredible.
LB/FTR: Okay wrestling but they were a bit off. Ending was beyond dumb.
BD/Miro: Really won me over. Miro looked like a God (with a neck made of sand). Convinced Danielson would have won regardless if it was Miro or Mox. It sets up an awesome main event where Danielson could potentially win or Hangman gives Danielson his first AEW loss. It’s a win-win situation.
JE/SuperKliq: Exactly what it needed to be: Insane, fun action. Gave me attitude era vibes. They also won the crowd back (who was already getting exhausted). Cole is mad over. Luchasaurus was the most over from his group. (CC could use a heel turn. That dive was crazy tho)
Cody & Pac/Andrade & Black: So my dinner was carne asada tacos and a grilled chicken salad.
DMD/Tay: Tay f***ing killed it. Weird ass match-that-absolutely-could. Crowd stuck with them. Some scary spots. Thought the finish was perfect in a match where it felt like it could have ended several times before.
It’s also reminiscent of WWE’s Becky/Liv program. Established heel, up and coming prevailing face.
Downside is crowd knew Britt wasn’t losing.
Punk/Eddie: This is pro-wrestling. JR had a brilliant line about it. All the in ring action, the comedy skits, the gimmicks, blah blah blah, all that’s extra. What matters is the investment from the audience, character commitment and story. Cackled a few times. Incredible stuff.
Audience must of felt they were watching their favorite uncle and dad who just came home from buying a carton of milk and Pepsi’s after 7 years have a drunken slug fest.
IC/ATT: Zany fun and the perfect cool-down before the ME. Sammy’s spot was crazy. P&P are still the shit. Jericho’s eyes welling with tears in tribute to Eddie, near the end of his own careers end, hugged by his loyal stablemates was a great moment.
Kenny/Adam: Someone needs to splice “Old Town Road” into the pre-match vignette for me. Felt as big as any WrestleKingdom or WrestleMania main event. Awesome slow-cooked shit into a smorgasbord of awesome moves topped with the drama at the end. *shrug* Just perfect. Instantly one of my fav matches of all time when you take everything into consideration. Cowboy shit.
Overall Thoughts: Hard to argue this wasn’t AEW’s “WMX7” (relax WWE marks; it wasn’t as good). Besides the culminating feel of it all, what I loved is the variety in matches. I’m all about that shit. I don’t want 8 technical in-ring masterpieces. I don’t want 8 matches following the same formula. Give me options and diversity. It’s weird to me how overrated All Out was (relax AEW marks; it was still good) besides the cage tag match. This has to be my favorite PPV of theirs yet. Arguably their best. And on a lighter, slightly sentimental note, JR made me laugh quite a few times with some stingers. Boomer Sooner, JR, Boomer F’N Sooner.
Well worth the $50. Shit, I would have paid $20 more for it.
10.

9/10. Excellent show all around. Only low points were Conti/Baker being telegraphed as such a filler defense that I couldn't get into the match and Jay Lethal's signing.

I went 9/10. Everything landed with me but the Tay/Baker finish. Some stuff was a little long but in general it was a very strong show. I think Punk/Kingston’s gonna go down in history as one of the best sub-15 minute matches in history.

Previously All Out set the bar for how good an AEW pay per view can be and Full Gear managed to clear that bar with room to spare with every match ranging from very good to super awesome and capped off with Page finally getting his due and paying off a two year story in the most satisfying way possible.
10/10

4 from me. To many matches had interference or ending wacky ness…what was that tag team title match ending? The inner circle/ufc crap should have been on dynamite not a ppv….the problem I have with AEW a lot is all the matches are to similar…how many Eddie tributes? How many matches did one competitor flip another competitor off, or hear them swear at the other person?. That stuff adds excitements to a match for sure, but not when it’s 3-4 matches. A couple matches went about 5-6mins to long…

I'd put it a tier below All Out, so 7.5 for me. It didn't need to be "saved" by Hangman v Kenny but the show was definitely elevated by it.
