Admittedly toward the middle of the show I was feeling pretty checked out but I think that was just being drained, I still have to give it a 10 because there was a lot of shit that delivered in spades. Probably the best show AEW's ever done.

One of those ppvs that could transcend the actual medium of professional wrestling, I’d think even non fans could find something to love in what that was.
I’m going to watch that ppv so many times, easy 10. All timer, no question at all.

9/10 for me, but a very high 9. Have to be fair and dock an almost-point for some of the sloppy nonsense in the street fight. (Also, tags?)
Everything else was near-perfect, though. Four legit classic matches and the rest still damn good.

Probably the best show AEW's ever done. Pretty much same. Cut the 6 man or 10 man tag to TV and yeah I don't think I would've been as drained. Edit or cut Cody tag. that shit was a TV main event if I ever saw one.

I think this was their best PPV and maybe my favorite one ever.

Remember how I said All Out was the best 50 bucks I ever spent? I was wrong. THIS was the best 50 bucks I ever spent... and that's with no regrets on the All Out purchase either lmfao
Amazing Wrestling. Fun Wrestling. Next to nothing to really find fault or complain about... a perfect storybook ending. This PPV will be worth seeking out for everyone. Big time.

8/10 - incredible main event and opener. Knocked 2 points because I felt some stuff really dragged in the middle. Two flat finishes with the tag title and tournament final as well.
The other stuff was so top notch. Kingston/Punk was a fantastic brawl.

The easiest 10 that has ever 10'ed. 6 incredible matches, 2 very good ones, and an entertaining if a bit too long brawl.

Like, objectively, a 13.
This is pro wrestling. To me, everything delivered. A lot of stuff overdelivered. Even the stuff the crowd wasn't hot for, had it's place. I've been hyped after shows, particularly AEW. But not like this. Everything fell into place.
I kinda wanted to make a thread about this, but damn I'm so happy AEW came along. I was pretty checked out of wrestling. Outside of the big NJPW shows I really didn't give a shit. But damn, so I love this company, culminating in a story arc that began before the company did.

The other stuff was so top notch. Kingston/Punk was a fantastic brawl. The only problem I had with the tournament finish was the DDT being kind of botched. I think the concept of it was great - Miro wasn't really selling shit otherwise but Bryan managed to get him in a position to capitalize on his well-documented single weakness.

10. Very easy. You can not get more perfect of an ending than that. 2 years and it finally paid off! From two years ago to now, that was the greatest wrestling storyline of all time, from beginning to end.
As for the PPV, you have a ton of great matches. Punk and Eddie was fantastic, the six man was amazing. MJF and Darby was stellar. I am so happy with that PPV!! It finally happened.

Agreed it was a super idea for the finish but it just looked bad. Noticeable they didn’t show a replay after.
