Omega has been reputed to be dealing with a bunch of nagging injuries. Bet he's due for some time off. I could see the heel Young Bucks trying to get Hangman back in the fold as champ and getting themselves involved with the Danielson storyline.

It was interesting that Matt was the one who acknowledged Hangman and nodded in encouragement when he was always the biggest asshole to Hangman.

I loved their involvement in the ending because I never would have guessed that specific way, but it felt so right for them and for the overall story.

Gonna be honest, I think as an idea it was fantastic and good storytelling but felt they spent too much time on it enough to take me out of the finish.

Not only did it play into the fantastic storytelling, but it's also the perfect set-up to have Kenny usurped by Adam Cole as the "main guy" with the Bucks, and start that tension. Just well played.

Here is a scenario.
With Omega pulling the original referee into Hangman's path, he shows up on Wednesday and disqualifies Omega, resulting in him getting the belt back.
Dusty finish y'all.

This was executed perfectly. I didn’t see it coming either. Very well played.

With all due respect… do you REALLY have to? It’s almost like we don’t know how to function when we’re actually happy, so we have to try and will some misery into existence because it’s what we’re used to.

I think when it’s all set and done, and when we look back at this whole storyline, it has to be up there among the greatest storylines in wrestling history. That match and that ending was outstanding! This storyline has been going since the start of AEW and it still isn't stale. That's a true sign of a great wrestling storyline.

One of the few things worse than not getting what you want is getting it then having it taken away from you in such a way that you technically didn’t get it. It’s self-destruction in every sense of the word. That said, I have no reason to expect there to even be a thought that AEW would do this based on what I’ve seen of them and know of them from observing them the last two years or so.

Didn't have the money to purchase Full Gear so I watched a recap online. Pretty solid match. The ending was cathartic as I was expecting the Bucks to interfere anyway.

Kenny leaves for injuries, Cole becomes the new leader, gets an ego, Kenny eventually returns as a face.

I seem to become more cynical about wrestling as I approach 50. I will be crankier than Vince soon.

What if...
Kenny kicks Calls to the curb for Face turn. Cole and possibly hesitant Bucks kick Kenny to the curb. (Time off for Omega.) Supercliq vs. Death Triangle time? (Roles reversed from initial pre-Dynamite Luchas vs. Bucks matches) Cole reunites with Fish and O'Reilly to kick Bucks to curb. Bucks side with Hangman to take on UE with Page eventually losing belt to Cole. Omega returns to take on Cole for world belt next summer.
Meanwhile, Hangman has great feuds with Miro and MJF prior to Cole.

Gonna be honest, I think as an idea it was fantastic and good storytelling but felt they spent too much time on it enough to take me out of the finish. I feel the same. I think they could’ve just had them show up at ringside, have a quick stare down, do the nod and have page go right into the finish sequence. It felt a little awkward to me having them walk around the whole ring. Still a fantastic match though.

Hangman smacking the beer can away at the end after he has won was a nice subtle touch of character building

Hangman smacking the beer can away at the end after he has won was a nice subtle touch of character building Last year I said that when Hangman wins the title he should grab the beer and throw it out , so I absolutely loved it

If we're pulling Dusty finishes in regards to AEW title matches now where the results are overturned on a later show then MJF should be champion right now.
