I can’t remember seeing anything like that before. Take in when Hangman talked to them and made his amends but warned them if they interfered, the Bucks nodding & supporting him..
That was final episode of an anime shit. The match itself was great & the result was too but that moment was seriously the icing on the cake for me. Even the asshole jocks had to understand that this was the moment & they were obviously proud of him.
Incredible. Added so much to the match.

It's interesting because there are a lot of ways to interpret it. Did the Bucks realize the error of their ways, or did they recognize that Kenny couldn't get the job done and so decided to cut their losses?

I think when it’s all set and done, and when we look back at this whole storyline, it has to be up there among the greatest storylines in wrestling history.
That match and that ending was outstanding!

They realized the error of their ways and wanted to be down there to appreciate how far their former friend has come. I wouldn’t even say they turned face, they just pushed forward the idea that even these despicable dudes understood what was happening.

I think it showed, deep down, they still love Hangman. Some people forget that the reason The Bucks turned heel in the first place was that they were manipulated by Kenny and Don. Then they clearly went over the top heel. But still, deep down, they still love and respect him.

Anyone else got flashbacks to Cutler's 1st win with the Bucks? They played similar parts in both matches.

You could see in the background of Hangman's celebration that the Bucks were helping Kenny to the back, so it's not like they decided to desert him. I still see an Elite split coming, but I do think this was more just an acknowledgment that it was finally Hangman's time and it ties into how they refused to second him during his first title match.

Yeah I don’t think they hate either guy. I don’t think they’ll have some massive blow up either, those three particular people. I could absolutely see them kick Callis ass though. I feel that is coming soon.

I do feel like this, along with Kenny getting jealous of the Superkliq stuff with Cole, does really make me wonder what happens next.
Also, wonder if Kenny loses to Vikingo soon. He did manage to defend against, it was Laredo Kid, right? One wonders if he loses this time.

My favorite part of the whole thing is the fact that in Hangman's first title match he asked them to back him up but they turned him down, and he ended up losing the match. Fast forward two years and they come out and encourage him to finish the match. Wonderful storytelling.

Perfect storytelling done in such a simple gesture
So much opens off off that one nod... I can't wait to see what happens next!

If anyone somehow thinks this is leading to the bucks turning baby face, that’s 100% not happening right now with Adam Cole and them forming up the Super Kliq. The last few weeks they have been separating themselves from Kenny and staying with Cole. All this is leading to is the Bucks and Cole attacking Omega in the next weeks, prolly giving Omega some time off to recharge and get healthy. This will lead to Omega being a baby face when he comes back prolly early 2022 before tue “battle of the belts”

Feel like they're deliberately leaving it open to go either way depending on whether or not they sign Kyle O'Reilly.

I think throughout all of this, it’s been evident that The Elite still deep down cares for Hangman. There’s an estrangement and they’re not on the same side right now, but the embers of friendship still flicker.
What we saw tonight could lead to a number of things.
I think you could interpret the gesture as simply Matt saying “We know you’re serious about the threat you made and we’re abiding by it” or it could be him saying “You’re the man now, congrats.” And it obviously comes full circle with the Jacksons refusing to be there before.
But what’s really interesting is what it means for The Elite going forward. Only a few weeks ago, Kenny was a triple champion. By Dec. 4, he might not have any gold. You could argue that things changed when Cole showed up again, so will we see a tug of war between Kenny and Cole for the Bucks like we saw before with Kenny and Cody?
The big X-factor in all of this is Kevin Steen. If he comes in, does Mount Rushmore reform and Kenny basically get kicked out of his own faction?
There are a number of different ways this can go. I think this story has a lot of potential.

The first interaction Hangman and The Bucks had in AEW was hangman asking then to be ringside for then like they did for Omega, they refused.
And now this feud ends with The Bucks being ringside for Hangman, and not Omega

Respect, respect for their past, for how Hangman had grown and for what they were seeing. I love it. They weren't betraying Omega, they're still asses, just with respect for someone, like actual people.

That match and that ending was outstanding! IMO, it's by far the best case of top babyface character development I've seen in all the 19 years I've been watching wrestling. Puts any other failed or polarizing top babyface push over that time period to shame.
