I feel the need for giant fighting robots.
I'm currently playing Ring of Red, and it's pretty cool, but it's more of a strategy game (sorta) and I'm seeking an action-ish one.
And I am open to Gundam related games.
So, like, what decent ones are available for PS2 (and if so, are they uber cheap? That's an important factor), also, are there any decent ones on PSP?

Not so much robots, but, Godzilla: Save the Earth was a good giant monster fighting game for PS2, if you can still find it. It was about $14 when they stopped printing copies, and it does feature SOME giant mechs (MechaGodzilla 2 and 3, MOGERA)

I always enjoyed Gundam: Federation Vs. Zeon and Gundam: Encounters in Space
My favorite line in G:ES is "Feel the pain of the oppressed spacenoid!"

I actually wouldn't mind Fed. v. Zeon (I know there's a copy at a nearby EB, Encounters in Space is scarce here though), my only question is, what kind of game is it exactly? From the reviews I read on it, it was hard to interpret whether it was an action or a strategy game.

Also if you have access to used Dreamcast stuff, I had a game called Tech Romancer for that that was kinda fun

Yeah! I've heard of that but sadly the Dreamcast game well has allll run dry here ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I have a rather formidable DC collection though, just..no mecha games in it >_< (I always wanted Virtual ON though). Also, I'll look into the Godzilla game since, well actually, I wanted to play it anyway, I had just forgotten of it's existence.

The only time mech games are cool are the virtual-on Cabinets.
Seriously it makes you feel like you're in a gundam!
I'd mark for a Big-O styled Arcade game though...YE NOT GUILTY!

Oh ye gods do I miss Virtual-ON cabinets...I wish so badly there was one around here...that is the most fun you can ever have with a mech game, EVER.

I don't know what to classify Zone of Enders: The 2nd Runner under, but I guess it's mech. That game's fun as hell, but sort of confusing if you haven't played the first ZOE (which I haven't.)
So yeah, maybe you can check that out.

I'm trying to think of the name of a game that begins with an X. Xenosaga? Is that it?

And hey, if you do like strategy games, and don't mind that they're PC games, you should look for Cyberstorm:Missionforce. Cyberstorm 2 isn't as good, I beat it in an afternoon. That, and they somehow downgraded both graphics and gameplay.
