Today marks thirty years since the greatest frontman of all-time died. It was the first death of a major music celebrity that I was old enough to understand and I still remember finding out about it the morning after he died.
The world of music lost someone that day who no one IMO has come close to.

RIP Freddie
Remember that last video, and how ill he looked, but he ends it with such a sweet goodbye. Heartbreaking.

I'll always love the story Brian May has told about the recording session for this track, where he expressed doubts about Freddie being able to perform the vocal line, only for him to just throw back a shot of vodka and just lacerate that vocal. I'll f***ing do it, darling! RIP Freddie, still sorely missed all these years later.

Only 30 years blows my mind. It seems like it'd be so much longer.

Absolute top of my time machine for music is to go back and see peak Freddie live. Would have loved to have been at one of those 80’s Wembley shows.
RIP to one of the absolute greatest
