I mean, WWE trimming the fat everywhere. Did they ever officially kill their "movie division"? that had to have been a huge money loser.

I know that cartoon movie with Reigns and Becky is still coming out but outside of that I think they're definitely super diminished.

It's still a thing but they mostly stopped having the wrestlers star in the bigger films. They've actually had some decent hits since the change in strategy. The Call made $69m on a $13m budget, Oculus made $44m on a $5m budget and Fighting with My Family made $42m on a £11m budget. If they can churn movies like that out every couple years it's easy money, low-risk/high-reward.
The Condemned bombing was the beginning of the end of the wrestler starring vehicles getting full theatrical releases. The Marine/See No Evil/12 Rounds made good profits at the box office and DVD sales but The Condemned was supposedly a huge money loser which surprised me a little. I don't think it's a good movie but at the time I thought it looked more interesting than the others.

I still think they need to change the name of the studio . No matter how great the film is, people will see the WWE studios name at the beginning and give it a hard pass.

It's a sad fact Stone Colduh can't act he should GO, GO, GO. He likes to hang out in baaaaaars, I gave his movie zero staaaaaars. They try to make me watch The Condemned and I said uh NO,NO,NO!

WWE Studios is still a thing, but they're definitely slowing down their output as well as diversifying into more areas than just movies.
Currently on the slate is:
Walking Tall A TV movie remake of the movie(s) of the same name, with the aim of turning it into a full TV series, starring Charlotte Flair.
Brawl in the Family Sort of a cross between Family Feud and the old NXT challenges, hosted by Miz and Maryse.
The United States of America vs. Vince McMahon A dramatic retelling of the 1994 steroid trial.
American Gladiators Yet another reboot of the show of the same name.
There's also a Vince documentary being produced for Netflix and an anime series being produced for Crunchyroll.

The United States of America vs. Vince McMahonA dramatic retelling of the 1994 steroid trial. What? Are they sure that's a good idea? I'm not going to libel myself by saying Vince McMahon was guilty but....

I don't know. I could totally see Charlotte swinging a huge board around and walloping guys with it. She seems like she has that kind of rage in her.

I'm not going to libel myself by saying Vince McMahon was guilty but.... It's an odd choice. Nailz kind of illustrated how... "good" a job the US government did in this trial, but what even makes it much of a story worth telling is the almost universal belief that Vince was enormously lucky. Given, even with the statute of limitations almost certainly long since past, that there's no chance that they're going to be any more forthcoming now than back then, I question the point of making this, short of just pointing and laughing at Nailz, which, understandable.
