2 observations:
1. Have they just dropped the weight limit for the Crusierweight championship, or is Joe Gacy genuinely under 205 lbs?
2. Didn't Cameron Grimes recently cut his hair already?

Gacy felt that weight limits are noninclusive and some other shenanigans happened which led to Strong and him having this match because Gacy doesn't think the title should be noninclusive

No he’s not. Gacy basically smooth-talked his way into the shot with his SJW chatter, so… Whether or not there’s a weight limit going forward or even a Cruiserweight Championship going forward depends on who wins it. Strong wins, it’s probably business as usual. Gacy wins, it’s all on the table 2. He had a bit of a haircut forced on him by Hudson which required a further trim to tidy it up, yes, but he still has long-ish hair and a beard at this point. Presumably this’ll be a cut to baldness for the loser

I watched NXT this week and also saw the thread about this being on PPV and it still did not click that this was a separate event and not just a special edition of the weekly show.

Sportsnet 360 in Canada will be airing it live tomorrow like with the last few NXT supercards.

I can't wait for this show and also I feel like it's gonna have all time bad numbers.

I have to say, I genuinely have no idea where the Grimes vs. Hudson match goes. On one hand, Hudson is a brand new character, so it really doesn't make sense to alter his look so soon, especially since it would either undercut or change his gimmick altogether.
On the other hand, they just gave Grimes a partial makeover in the build, and honestly, that current haircut is money. Plus, it's one of the few acts from old NXT that seems to perfectly translate to NXT 2.0, and it's not even close to being played out. In fact, he could easily be main roster ready or in title contention in his current state.

Mostly interested in the women’s match. Conventional logic should dictate that Toxic Attraction and Dakota win, as they have lost during the entire build. On the other hand, you have no real challengers for Mandy/Toxic Attraction if they should happen to win. Also this Toxic Attraction stuff isn't clicking with younger viewers either. So if they are gonna pull the plug on this experiment, now is the time to do so.

So if they are gonna pull the plug on this experiment, now is the time to do so. I guess they could do something where Toxic Attraction does something underhanded or takes advantage of Cora Jade's inexperience and pins her to win. Then afterwards Mandy can go into a feud with one of the other three faces who didn't get pinned. However they did have Cora pin Mandy a few weeks ago which makes me think that's leading to something. Unless it's just one of those deals where Mandy gets her win back on her in a quick match on TV and that's that. I don't see Raquel, Io, or KLR jobbing. It wouldn't surprise if the faces just win despite WWE's usual booking methods where whoever gets the upper hand in the build up loses at the PPV. The team with the "advantage" has to win at some point right? I'm kind of getting the feeling they are maybe already kind losing interest in the Toxic Attraction experiment. They weren't featured quite as much the last few weeks and even though it was a slip on a banana peel type finish Mandy getting pinned in three minutes by a rookie not even a month into being champion wasn't exactly a sign of good faith if they want/wanted her to be the face of the division. I'm also interested to see how they book around the faces having the advantage. At least last year when the heels were at disadvantage they had Raquel which made it a little easier to get around. However this year they don't have any hosses/monsters on the heel team so I'm curious to see how they do it. I guess maybe someone on the face team goes heel, likely KLR since her face turn was very abrupt to begin with. Like she was a heel like three weeks ago and then turned face because I think Mandy made some mild insults towards her.

Raquel Gonzalez mentioned in a media interview about them maybe doing a battle royal to feature the new girls and holdovers from NXT, so I wonder if that’s how they’ll get a new #1 contender if Team Toxic Attraction wins. All it would take is Toxic Attraction coming out and bragging about their win, we get the cliche revolving door of challengers and then all it would take is one spark for bedlam and the locker room clearing out.

All it would take is Toxic Attraction coming out and bragging about their win, we get the cliche revolving door of challengers and then all it would take is one spark for bedlam and the locker room clearing out. I wouldn't put much weight into what Raquel wants or says. The problem right now is that Toxic Attraction especially isn't doing anything with the titles, and the faction in terms of actually bringing in viewers is bombing hard. They aren't bringing in younger viewers, and they aren't skilled or talented enough to be running the division. This is the weakest the division has ever been. Them going over tonight would be a disaster for the division, as it would clean out the division of any actual credible contenders to Mandy, Gigi, and Jacy. And a battle royal wouldn't fix that. We are kinda at the point where WWE seriously needs to sit down and evaluate if this is the direction they want to continue going (neglecting high quality in ring performance with the women in exchange for trying to pander to horny men). It doesn't help that there are a lot of other women who could use the screentime more at this point. Look at Sarray as a good example of someone who has been completely mishandled due to this changeover. She's went from being a hot prospect in NXT to a complete jobber who is back in Japan right now because she's incredibly frustrated at her booking. And I'm certain they are intentionally dropping the ball on her because she isn't incredibly smoking hot or whatever. Because the current direction of NXT is focusing way more on the sex appeal for the women over trying to actually develop characters.

outside of the tag title match. I have interest in the other matches.
Hudson/Grimes is a pick'em. outside of a trim of Grimes hair he has been dominating the feud.
Hudson's run has been inconsistent to the point I can't tell if they like him and just giving him a hard time or he just isn't as ready as they want.
Roddy/Gacy could be a sleeper MOTN imo. Whomever wins I'm interested.
Both WARGAMES are intriguing with all the inexperienced talent in it and storyline wise with Ciampa/Breakker, Gargano's final match?, who takes out Mandy or does Mandy get another big win?

The story in Gacy/Strong is that inclusivity is really bad and we should be thankful that Roddy saved us from the evils of intergender wrestling last week.

Time for the best two hours of a wrestling show to prove what they got on a Sunday night PPV special. Spoiler alert……they’re going to prove us right.
