3…matches went way to long..another of week matches with low card talent with obvious outcomes And every damn matches does NOT NEED a post match attack/beat down. I beleive every single match including the battle royal had some type of post match attack.. Smh You need to have weeks where you showcase lowcard talent, or you blow your load too hard. You need to keep people around so you can establish and build them for the future Some people hate the post match attacks but at least they feel different and esrablish how much some of these people hate each other and its boiling over

Was there live and an easy 9. Great action and that whole MJF portion was an experience.

Was there a single match or interview after Punk's opening promo that DIDN'T end in a brawl, or a "surprise" interruption? The in-ring was pretty good tonight but the layout was Russo-esque. After awhile all the run-ins and attacks ceased to matter. There was absolutely no reason to have Ruby and Riho both get attacked tonight if you were going to run the angles with Julia Hart and MJF/Dante.

Btw never invite Rocky Romero ever again, let him show up on Impact only where he belongs.

I give it a 7 fine show.
Loved the over the top Long Island intro for MJF...
everything else was fine... nothing I Can really comment on being terrible.

Yeah, Rocky and Chuck both looked good and frankly they carried the match. And I wasn't always a big fan of either guy for a long while.

Everything at least has a point in AEW that leads to something I get finding it repetitive but the beatdowns were to further storylines, Russo would just book crazy shit that'd never get mentioned again. I would agree that Tony could change up endings a bit.more, but until we get to the point things are happening without logic, it aint Russo imo

Glad I'm not alone in that notion, cause I understand if people just didn't like the repetitiveness, but Russo would have like... Booked tbe exact same match ending six times with no difference or reasoning

A solid 8, bumped up to. 9 for the return of SUUUUEEEEE and Trent Moxley. I get that it can be repetitive, yet I felt they were all different enough that it doesn’t bother me. Glad I'm not alone in that notion, cause I understand if people just didn't like the repetitiveness, but Russo would have like... Booked tbe exact same match ending six times with no difference or reasoning I get the chaotic aspect, and will give you the repetitiveness, but if anyone thinks that was anywhere NEAR Russo-esque, they need to go back and watch Russo WCW or TNA.

7 seems fair. Not the most grand and exciting show but did the business in some parts and moving stuff along.
Sort of weird that they didn’t announce the obvious matches for Winter is Coming but I guess that is what Rampage is for so I get it.
Crowd was also super weird, sometimes they’d get into stuff and sometimes they didn’t. Sort of think it’s a general New Jersey thing considering Raw when it was there but then I could be wrong there.
EDIT: Wait, forgot about Sue. TEN!

An 8.
The stuff with Punk/MJF/Dante was all awesome.
Riho vs. Hayter was physical AF in the best way.
Nyla is hilarious.
Black misting Julia Hart is, interesting?
Danielson vs. That Poor Kid was really good.

A solid 7.5 Women's match impressed even in it's bad time slot Genuine question, when was the last time the 9:30 slot was bad for AEW or ratings death? Every ratings breakdown we see it's usually fine or doesnt lose fans and hasn't for awhile now. It only feells like a shit slot these days with people when the girls have a match in it, and they hadn't had a match there in weeks

The MJF stuff was great and I love that AEW's bringing crazy hometown crowd energy like that back. Hated every moment of that Young Bucks vs. Chuck Taylor and Rocky Romero tag match. Even when it ended it didn't end.

Even when it ended it didn't end. Surprised you hated the match that much. Thought it wasnjust really good wrestling and then Trent and Sue came back This must be a Rocky Romero thing that aint clicking with me

I think it was a transitional episode. Setting up stories going forward. Those always seem a bit weird, but still, its a lot of fun to watch. 8/10.
